[HekatonSubs] Episode 7
After 1 year of procrastination I decided it’s finally time to finish this series once and for all…(I intend to finish the last episode hopefully before end of this month…)
While subbing, it got annoying seeing how the subs kinda looked unclear overlapping the video so decided to allocate a space at the bottom…hopefully it didn’t affect the viewing too much (the video has to be made smaller but not too bad I hope).
Once again, this video is unlisted for obvious reasons so feel free to share the link.
Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyuu - DMM Streaming
Beginning Dec 25, 2020 until January 31, 2021, all 11 shows of Engeki Haikyuu will be available for DMM streaming as digital rentals!!!
For a guide on how to purchase DMM streams, see here: (x) The link for the DMM page for all productions is here: (x)
The Battle of the Trash Heap will be available for digital rental for 2750yen, and all previous shows will be available for 1650yen. Upon purchase, your stream will be available to you for 7 days.
Please keep in mind that COVID-19 has severely impacted these productions. Strongest Challengers canceled pretty much their entire tour, and the Trash Heap had to work with seating cut in half and canceled shows due to covid exposures. As much as we would prefer that the cast and crew can stay safe and simply not perform, there is no government aid for them and so they are taking the risk and performing anyway.
One of the reasons these streams are made available now is to make a small attempt to recoup financial losses. Please do not pirate this production, please do not encourage piracy of this show or any of their shows, please purchase and support the cast and crew if you can, especially during this pandemic.
The FAQ page of this blog also provides links to help you purchase DVDs for all previous productions (x)

Could Ginoza's mom possibly get the Eustress Syndrome due to binging on pills to keep her hue clear since there was alot of pressure on her?
To answer your question first... Yes, hue clearing drugs can absolutely be responsible for Gino's mum deasease.
I found this interesting article in the net that explains very well eustress deasease, or with its complete name eustress deficiency deasease. I'm posting here a part, with the link to the full article below.
Eustress Deficiency is one noticeable way in which the Sibyl System commits necropolitical acts against the Japanese public; in a society that has sacrificed all that it means to be human for the sake of a sense of peace, humanity has also given up their driving life force: stress. Eustress Deficiency is the disease of Psycho-Pass’s Japan. As the show’s main antagonist Shogo Makishima discusses, Eustress Deficiency is thought to be the leading cause of death in Sibyl’s new society, though these deaths are continuously declared to be “heart failure from an unknown cause.” Since Japan now operates on the psycho-pass system, citizens are exposed to excessive stress care in attempts to keep their hues and crime coefficients within the limits designated by Sibyl. As Shogo points out, stress is a driving force in life- with the appearance of the Sibyl System and the psycho-pass, people began to find their sense of stress “numbed so much that patients who can’t even recognize stimulation itself started appearing.”
Individuals who suffer from Eustress essentially became living corpses, their autonomic nervous system ceasing to function independently and their vital functions eventually shut down completely.
They are merely a shell of their former selves and soon they will disappear like the melting snow. This epidemic leads innocent people to their deaths, and yet, this pathogen will never be eradicated. This is a disease called serenity- a form of death that the people have wished for.”

Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector Postcard
Basically, since I saw the novel translation that Akane meets with Kougami’s mom, my mind ran wild with speculation. Spoilers for up to First Inspector.
Stouthearted
Tomoyo is accustomed to living alone. Wake up, brush her teeth, have breakfast, check the news offered by her AI secretary.
The golden starfish cheerfully spins as it announces her Hue. “Mint green!”
“Thank you, Hoshiko.” She finishes her coffee, the bottom of the cup sweeter than the rest. She has a lengthy schedule for the weekend but just before she can bring it up, there’s a knock at her door, loud enough to scare Hoshiko into vanishing.
She fastens her bathrobe and runs a hand through her unruly hair. No one’s visited her in a long time. Uncertain and cautious, she only opens the door a crack, enough to see who this stranger is. “Hello?”
“Good morning!” Her visitor is a young woman, whose face is briefly obscured when she bows in greeting. Behind her, a storage drone patiently waits. “I’m sorry to disturb you. Inspector Tsunemori, from the Public Safety Bureau.” She holds up her ID in confirmation. “Are you Kougami Tomoyo-san?”
“Yes…please, come in.” Tomoyo pulls the door further. It’s best that whatever conversation will follow, it should happen inside.
“Ah, just a moment.” Tsunemori unlocks the drone and removes a box from the metal interior, almost too big for her to carry.
“Do you need help?”
“N-no, I’ve got it.” She sets it down and sighs with relief as Tomoyo closes the door.
“I know who you are.”

Why do you think Shinkane hits so hard?
I believe that the way their relationship is written is very real. By watching them, through all the installments, I feel like like this chemistry and undying tension is tangible. Whether it’s been written as a relationship not romantically intended or (as I honestly think) something that can evolve by considering all the aspects of a relationship (such as they becoming a couple), the fact that you can feel their bond is amazing. I don’t know what will happen (as long as neither of them die is fine), but I think that it’s not so easy to find another pairing who shares such a deep bond and who has that remarkable tension. I, for one, would be amazed if something more happened, because all those hints in the series, in the novels, in the other media, basically scream “Those two are made for each other”, but the fact that we have to wait is even more entertaining. If the two of the got together, everything would change (I dare say for the better, but, especially on Kougami’s part, that would mean that he would act even more recklessly than he does when it comes to Akane, so I would truly fear for his life), but it would also be a dream which becomes true, as a Shinkane shipper (not to mention that some shippers in the series, like the missing Saiga-sensei, the late Masaoka and Yuki as well as Shion probably XD would be very happy! XD).

SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE SEEN MY POST REGARDING THE DIRECTOR’S COMMENT ABOUT AKANE AND KOUGAMI’S ROMANCE with the following image included, and I WANT TO CLARIFY THAT I MADE A MISTAKE.
I wish I could edit that post because I clearly got ahead of myself and made a HUGE mistake, but it’s too late now with everyone reblogging the misinformation.
The OP who translated the interview later clarified that the director more accurately says that Kougami and Akane’s relationship are not the typical lovey dovey romance we often see in media, but that does NOT necessarily mean there’s no romance at all. It’s just that we don’t see the usual blushing or whatever from Akane or Kougami like we see with every main hetero pairing in anime. So it’s just that they’re obviously not portrayed as lovey dovey like most main hetero pairings in anime such as Naruto/Hinata, Sailor Moon/Tuxedo Mask, etc. Essentially, the director JUST means that Akane and Kougami are not the kind of ship that makes googly eyes at each other. Like this:
See how the romance is so blatantly obvious and mushy in the above image? You got blushing, feminine background, large sparkly eyes that pine for the other person and practically say “KISS ME NOW”. The director’s saying that’s NOT how Akane & Kougami are portrayed. But just because Akane and Kougami don’t blush till their faces look like tomatoes or make googly eyes at each other does NOT mean there is no romance. He’s simply saying their relationship is not portrayed as infantile as something like the image I gave. That is all. Nothing more, nothing less.
The Japanese have many ways to say “love” and whichever word is used to express the meaning of “love” can have many implications. “Rabu” is a shallow definition of love; it’s not a mature love. Imagine an elementary couple saying “I love you” to each other versus your parents saying “I love you”. Or, more accurately, it’s like using “ai shiteiru“ in comparison to “dai suki“, both of which essentially mean ‘i love/like you’ but with different implications with the former version (ai shiteiru) bearing a more serious and mature implication of the two.
In a way, the director is also addressing the way media (especially anime) typically portrays hetero pairings. The signs of romance between the two characters are just so lovey dovey that it makes the relationship seem infantile, which is why the director used an immature word like “rabu” instead of something more mature like “aishiteru”, “koi”, or “ren’ai”. So he’s saying that Kougami and Akane are not that kind of pairing in the sense that they are not lovey dovey like, for example, a highschool boyfriend & girlfriend.
Here is a piece of what OP had said in her later clarification:
They didn’t sink your ship. How many other pairs do you think non-romance series creators get asked about in every single interview? Why do you think the creators always talk about Kou and Akane in all the official materials ever? They didn’t sink your ship. They didn’t issue a Word of God saying that Kou and Akane will never get together, ever. They said there isn’t a “rabu” between them – the cheap kind of storytelling “rabu” that would never satisfy anyone – and they’re not wrong about that.
Look, I get it. I myself am an adamant believer in representing wholesome and meaningful Male/Female friendships in media. I wholeheartedly want it to be normalized. HOWEVER, wanting a meaningful male/female friendship without the romance is a completely different thing from isolating a character from a romantic relationship. Especially since that is already a common issue when it comes to portraying strong heroines in media. You CAN have a female character who has BOTH a meaningful friendship with a male character AND also a romance with a male character. Otherwise, what you’re asking for is an AROMANTIC or queer character.
I, too, want strong heroines like Akane to be able to have a meaningful friendship with a male character without people expecting it to mean romance, but that doesn’t mean romance should have to be completely off limits either. It’s like… Psycho Pass is a show that is categorized under the Crime Fiction, Cyberpunk, and Dystopia genres. Romance is not a genre tagged with the show, BUT that does NOT mean the show does not or cannot have romance in it. Case in point: Yayoi & Shion, Irie & Mao, and Kamui and that one Inspector who went crazy for him. Why can’t a female character have BOTH a friendsip with a male and a romance with a male? It doesn’t have to be limited to one and the same guy; it can be with two completely different male characters. For example, Akane’s bond with Gino could be a storge bond (familiar love like kinship), and with Kougami it could be a pragma bond (enduring love like a married old couple).
Akane is that heroine who can have both a m/f friendship and romance. Kougami is not the only male character she shares a meaningful relationship with. We do have normal hetero friendships like Gino and Akane who have a deep bond with each other that I would even say matches Akane’s bond with Kougami, but in a different variation. She also has a bond with Hinakawa, and we’ve seen how much Hinakawa trusts her and vice versa if they’re doing business together in secret. I would like to list Kagari as another male character Akane had shared a bond with but he’s, well.. y’know.
Un poco tarde porque no me dieron los tiempos, pero igualmente, aquí está: un pequeño garabato por el cumpleaños de mi inspectora favorita. :'D 💖
Happy Birthday Akane-chan!
