Since the late 1300's four covens of witches and warlocks have lived underneath a cloaking spell in the madness of France. These covens all have their own corner, one in the south, east, north and west. Each coven has its own speciality, each coven, a special way of living. These covens have lived in harmony for so many years. However, when it's time for a new coven to control the new century, something horrific happens. The supreme of the North coven gets brutally murdered and no one wants to take responsibility. The fight for Paris and the chance to rule for eternity has begun, but will the war destroy them all or will someone conquer the others? Welcome to Paris. It should be noted that Annabelle is happy to help those who need it and will often do so to her own detriment. She tends to use so much without restoring her strength that her magic can be unstable and make her cough up blood and become sick. When she makes somebody weak, she gets healthier herself.

CHARACTER TRAITS:

Annabelle is a pure soul - pure as they come in fact. Whilst her coven is habitually withdrawn from the others, this Earth-ridden angel doesn’t hide from the world. She is strongly against the war that is brewing among her kind, wanting peace and love; the idea of her loved ones dying in battle too horrific to bare. She is a compassionate soul, trying as hard as she can to try and keep everything together, to understand everyone and try to solve their problems.

OTHER:

Julian Hallow is someone who has always shown some interest toward her, but Annabelle feels the need to be cautious around him. She is suspicious that the male’s behaviour isn’t genuine and that he is using her for her magic.

Cole Martin is Annabelle’s best friend, the person she goes to when everything gets too much for her gentle heart. He is her support structure, looking after the girl who does not look after herself and she adores him for it.

Eva Pryce is Annabelle’s role model, she admires this witch greatly and sees her Supreme’s insecurities and wants to remind her of her own strength. She also wants Eva to realise that the alliance is fundamental to their survival.

Cora Winters is slowly working her way into Annabelle’s life and the pair recently had their first conversation. Annabelle believes, gathering from first impressions, that Cora is an outcast but otherwise a nice girl.

CHARACTER TRAITS:

Quick to laugh at others misfortune and mischievous by nature, Cole is a self-identified nihilist with seemingly no solid beliefs. He often leaves people in disbelief due to his lack of empathy toward others; as if he cannot even bring himself to pretend to care. Ever curious matched a lust for destruction, Cole looks out for himself. However, if someone was to wiggle their way into his heart they would find Cole a surprisingly gentle and protective warlock.

OTHER:

Kai Archibald is someone that Cole doesn’t trust - at all. He believes that no witch or warlock should ever switch covens and the fact that Kai has done this so casually makes Cole inclined to dislike the male.

Gabriel Baylee is someone that Cole loves to torment. Having figured out Gabriel’s narcissistic tendencies, Cole spends his time systematically trying to ruin Gabriel’s image and has almost succeeded a few times.

Eva Pryce and Cole are often caught arguing as he reduces his Supreme to an angry mess. As much as he likes the woman, their arguments are often about his behaviour and callousness towards others - even of his own coven. .

Karen Archibald is someone that Cole enjoys flirting with. At the moment it is nothing more than a bit of fun for the male but who knows? It could always develop into something else but for now the male is quite content.

This section is up to the roleplayer but please reference the description in the directory as a guide. It should be noted that Mara is secretly quite the romantic; she has been in love more times than she can count but if its real love or admiration, she isn’t quite sure.

CHARACTER TRAITS:

Unquestionably prejudiced against the other three covens, Mara makes no secret of her hatred for them. She is very unlikely to trust anyone and tends to keep her emotions and heart guarded to her chest lest they be used against her. Those within her coven do not question her undying loyalty and Mara even admires her elders. Self-assured and relentless, Mara has worked hard to get where she is today and no one can say otherwise.

OTHER:

Ethan Draunbault and Mara have something of a complex relationship. He is like a cruel older brother and whilst the two are consistently butting heads, she loves him despite all of his faults.

Dimitri Pryor needs to be stronger if the South are to be successful in the oncoming war and Mara is his self-assigned tutor. The two bicker quite often about his beliefs but she is constantly pushing him to better himself and his abilities.

Sam Prudence aggravates Mara to no end. The other female only needs to be in the room to put Mara in a bad mood.  Her dislike for the other truly stems from an old feud back in school that neither of them can seem to forget.

Adela Baudin and Mara are sparring partners. Together the pair tend to practise their magic and enjoy helping one another get stronger, having become fast friends through this activity. She has confidence in her combat partner.

Age: 36 years.

ABOUT:

It should be noted that Ethan has lost most of his family since war ground its way toward them; his siblings within the coven were murdered. Orginally, Aiden’s family came from oversea’s but his lineage can be traced back to the founders.

CHARACTER TRAITS:

Not someone to be considered moral, Ethan is a cunning man with goals of his own. He rules over the South Coven with an iron fist, ruthless in his dealings with traitors. Often described as unreasonable, there aren’t many lines he won’t cross to get what he wants - though sometimes he is able to flirt his way through a crowd. To those who are loyal, Ethan is capable of being compassionate even if his ways of teaching them is less than savoury.

OTHER:

Maxine Harvelle is the one person ethan loves and before the murder of the North Coven’s Supreme, the pair had entered a secret relationship, sneaking around without the knowledge of others. Now, with no one to temper him, Ethan is back to his old tricks.

Mara Devendale is like a surrogate sister to Ethan, a replacement for those who he lost and one of the few people who won’t hesitate to at least try to put him in his place - and he likes that fire.

Zane Posey and Ethan have never really got along, even in their younger years due to what Ethan describes as ‘fundamental differences’. Whenever the two cross paths there is almost always some kind of altercation.

Kellan Sinclair is someone Ethan begrudgingly respects;  that is, respects enough not to do any serious harm to the other male but that doesn’t mean the two see eye-to-eye on anything; mostly, Ethan enjoys aggravating this Supreme.

ABOUT:

Once upon a rainy day fourteen years ago, Maxine Harvelle was happy, kind, caring and without revengeful thoughts in her blood. She was the spitting image of her late mother, the one who had claimed the throne as Supreme when she was mere twenty years old. Family had always been important for Max and even if she believed in her coven; the alliance was her true passion. With a running romance with a man outside her coven and bright thoughts for the future, Maxine was ready to strengthen the bond between her coven and the others. However, her dreams dwindled into nightmares. A beloved older brother meant everything for Max. He was somewhat her guiding light when it came to the powers she contained along with her understanding of the world they lived in. Her brother was brutally murdered and found decapitated, Maxine was the one who found her brother too and if people believed things were bad before, they were getting a new perspective of evil. Maxine took over her brothers spot as the Supreme of the North and ruled with an iron fist. There was nothing but hatred, revengeful thoughts and rage left in the beautiful once flourishing woman. Maxine Harvelle had become someone she never believed she would turn into, but how do you handle grief when you are given your brothers responsibilities upon his deathbed? Given everything she wanted, but would trade to see him live again.

Fourteen years later and not much has changed. Maxine is driven by the hatred within her and the North coven is growing in power filled with the evil creatures and powers of the earth. Maxine treats those within her coven with respect, love and compassion, but those who stand on the outside looking in are treated with blood. Max has no compassion whatsoever for the alliance any longer. She wishes her coven to be superior simply based upon the fact that she wants the truth. There has still been no answers given about Dimitri Harvelles death and it is driving Maxine over the edge, driving her into doing things, no witch or warlock should ever do.

CHARACTER TRAITS:

Maxine used to be a gentle and kind soul; if she could save another person then there is generally no hesitation on her part. However, that gentleness has narrowed down to those within her circle whilst those outside of it are shown how ruthless she can be. Filled with sorrow, Maxine allows herself to seem weak when alone, the only time she can truly entertain her grief. Traces of her self remain in that she knows how to be sweet and delicate but she can also be very rude towards others.

OTHER:

Ethan Draunbault and Maxine had a secret relationship when the alliance still existed and everyone felt safe. Now, however, she guards herself against him and ended their relationship out of fear that he was the one who murdered her brother.

Zane Posey is like a younger brother to Maxine and is in fact, her best friend. He has become a support for her since she lost her brother and she knows that he shares her hatred over what everything has become.

Cora Winters and Maxine feed off of one another as of late. Around the other, Maxine feels free because she can be so open in entertaining fantasies of murder and finding the person who tore her life apart. Together, they can explore the darker side of magic.

Samsara Laurence is someone Maxine happens to see eye-to-eye with on some matters and when the two do not agree? There is always room for shots and conversation. Max is not entirely sure she trusts the other, but the occasional distraction is welcome.

This because we enjoyed this place so much and created friendships which to this day are alive. We have done a makeover on our mainpage and re-written all the characters. Hi, ‘nonnie! Yes, we are. We’re experiencing a dry patch currently because a lot of our members are eighteen and up, with a lot of responsibilities. We here at witchcraftrp recognise that sometimes, real life gets in the way and just makes it impossible to do something we enjoy. Katie McGrath could fit the seductress side of the character and would also be a good fit for Samara’s thirst for power! She’s also a good fit for that coldness that Samara possess’. You can be assured that even if the dash isn't the speediest, every response you receive is really high quality. This is a group that will challenge your writing skills. I, myself, have noticed an improvement in my writing since joining. But don't let that intimidate you! We're a really friendly bunch who just want to create and tell the best stories possible.
