Time to edit that Crystal and Stones Directory with proper warnings.
I regret to say that some misinformation has been circulated via this blog. While I take full responsibility for the circulation of the Crystal and Stone Director, if you have reblogged the Crystal and Stone Directory, I humbly request that you take down this information as it is incorrect and potentially hazardous.
Thank you, Sec, for the quick and keen eye and I will be taking steps in the future to assure it doesn’t happen again. Again witchesjournal, personally myself since I'm (syri) the one who made the post, apologizes for the recent misinformation and are working to correct the error.
-Syristones
I wish to apologize about the previous post, and give a thank you to asksecularwitch for showing how dangerous the crystal post was.
I will be making sure to double and triple check anything that is posted on here.

Here’s the Crystal and Stone Directory. It will be updated. To look for updated crystals/stones simply press “ctrl+F+ **” We’ll leave the asterisks by updated crystals/stones for about a week. To find a specific stone, simply click “ctrl+F+/insert name here/”. You can request something be added…
Not to be “offensive” because you worked “so hard” on your research for your fucking list of googoogaagaa meanings for shit, but Fluorite or rather fluorspar comes from the element Fluorine. Which is fucking toxic to humans and needs to be handled with care, especially with those who have a fucking fluorine sensitivity. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CC8QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Femsi.stanford.edu%2Fdoc%2FMostDangerous-Minerals.doc&ei=s6wNUdCqOui60AHthYCgDA&usg=AFQjCNHX9wJfXUo5pVu-Vt5Gn-iPy_JtJw&bvm=bv.41867550,d.dmg&cad=rja Fun fact, fluorite is fucking corrosive and can cause skin irritation. http://mcrocks.websitetoolbox.com/post/is-fluorite-toxic-6052113 Even funner fact, it’s really unstable (fluorine) and if you put that shit into some acid, you’re looking at a serious problem which gets worse and worse depending on which acid you mixed with it. Your fucking research is nothing. Go take a course in geology before you start fucking handing out advice to people about stone elements and their “meanings”. You didn’t properly warn, list, label or even have anything about proper handling or equipment for any of these. Some of these are perfectly fine for handling (though you should wash your hands afterwards, after touching any rocks). Some of them aren’t. Some of them flake and can cause breathing issues. Like mother of pearl, for example, whose dust can cause lung issues. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CDIQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.portercalls.com%2Fimages%2Fsounds%2FDOPCUT%2520SHELLANDDIEarticle.pdf&ei=DK4NUfDoB6O30gGHhIC4DA&usg=AFQjCNHRxPjBONe4j3xHInTj7SbuB2gqew&bvm=bv.41867550,d.dmg&cad=rja Don’t make me go through all your fucking list here and point out the toxic ones, because I will. Someone needs to be responsible for telling people that they can’t just fondle stones like they may fondle ball sacks. It doesn’t work like that with these things. Jesus fucking christ. And you’re worried about some twit fucking copying your bullshit list? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?
Holy shit are you serious? I have a piece of Raw Flourite and I had no clue. And untumbled Pyrite, although I’m not sure what sulfide mine tailings means. Quartz is both bad and good in that document. Are tumbled stones generally okay to ‘fondle’?
The Witches' Journal: Crystal and Stone Directory
I'm so serious I could slap people for not listing that shit. The training I got for stone handling and geology was basic/minimum, most of it common sense. But we did not handle fluorite for a fucking reason. Not even with gloves. Always behind glass.
Just because it's been tumbled does not mean it's any less toxic [or the water that you tumbled it in for that matter, if you'd tumbled it by yourself].
Look up Pyrite [especially if you don't know your source for where you go it] as there is some issues with some mines having sulfides in them which can cause issues and has in certain places in China where the mining of pyrite comes in contact with that.
As for quartz, yeah it's good/bad, but generally it's safe to handle from my training [especially if it's the kind you can pick up in any drive way]. Just don't lick it. Wash your hands after handling it.
Thanks for sending this Sec.
I hadn't had a chance to read over the Crystal post that Syri had posted. I've removed it, and will be fixing it up

<center> and <div align="center"> and <div style="text-align= center"> doesn't work. Ah, love when Tumblr makes it's site harder to use in some aspects. /sarcasm
