if Good Omens season 3 turned out like Coco

What about the viewership numbers for renewal tho? What is the best way to watch it that benefits the show most, that is most effective for getting s3 greenlit?

Honestly? Watch it as much as is physically possible in the first two weeks. Play it on repeat on every gadget and gizmo that plays Amazon Prime Video. Get everyone you know to do the same. If it won't be a while before you get to watch it, have it all play through anyway. If you are watching it slowly, a measured episode at a time, then still play it all through to the end of episode 6 on something.

Everything is led by the data and the only data anyone at any of the streamers truly cares about is minutes watched and "completion rate".

TBH, if we try to set up universal spoiler tags for GO 2, I think we need to choose the shortest, laziest tags possible while still being specific to episodes.

Something like, "go2e1" or "go2.1."

Sometimes that IS the difference between people choosing to tag and not to tag. People are excited, they're impatient, they're eager, they aren't trying to hurt anyone but they have to get their posts out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and aren't thinking clearly. They might take the time to write "go2e1" (5 characters). They are less likely, I'm guessing, to write out "good omens 2 episode 1" (22 characters including spaces). People being people and all that. I'm not trying to be judgmental! Just trying to be practical.

So I thought I'd actually write something as a starting point for ways to watch and discuss Good Omens 2.

To be honest, if I had my druthers, Good Omens 2 would be released daily or weekly. There are mysteries and things to work out and speculate upon that build episode by episode. There are things to think about before the next episode begins.

I do not have my druthers* and when Good Omens 2 drops on the 28th it will drop all at once. Which is good news for people who want to binge and don't want to talk about it until the end.

But there will be people who won't want to go online and have people who watched the whole thing spoil or discuss or reveal. There will be people who will watch Episode 1 and puzzle and hypothesize and imagine. And then, when they are ready, watch Episode 2, and ponder and suppose and so on.

So I'd suggest that the G02 fandom think about ways to be able to discuss episodes up to a certain point. That there's an episode 1 group, and episode 2 and so on, with spoiler warnings, taking you through episode 6, by the end of which most of your questions will have been answered.

I'm throwing this out in a post for people to discuss, come up with suggestion, ignore or reject. There may be ways to make it work, there may not.

Mostly I want people to be able to talk and guess and trade their ideas without being squashed by those who have seen it and without squashing people who are not up to that point.

*If the Writers Strike had not happened it's possible that my suggestion that we drop the episodes daily over 6 days might actually have been acted upon. But it did and it wasn't.

Genuinely surprised that ppl think book Aziraphale and Crowley are less gay than in the show bc like, while the backstory between the two of them in episode 3 does add a lot to their connection to one another, in the book Crowley still calls Aziraphale "angel", Aziraphale still calls Crowley "my dear boy", they go on frequent outings to museums or galleries or concerts to discuss the child they're raising together, tell each other theyre doing a great job, and presumably just enjoy themselves like people would on a date, Aziraphale feels comfortable enough to just take food from Crowley's plate during these discussing-the-child-they're-raising outings and Crowley doesn't complain at all, when Crowley calls Aziraphale "angel" in front of Anathema its implied that she perceived herself as safe because the two of them must just be a nice gay couple, and I haven't even gotten through the whole book yet
