Some happy first time smut set after the end of season 1? Why yes, don't mind if we do! Comes with failed attempts at texting, dinner, conversation, Aziraphaleâs secret sexy books section, and an Ella Fitzgerald soundtrack.

GO Rewrite thoughts.
I am strongly STRONGLY considering tweaking the way the Book of Life works.
In GO3, the Book of Life basically is reality. They are one and the same. The Book = physical manifestation of Everything. Change the Book and reality catches up. Take someone out of the Book and you cancel their existence.
In Christian lore, as I understand it, Jesus has to write the names of the saved in the Book of Life. It isn't "running the universe" UNTIL the Second Coming. It's basically a completely different thing.
In my version of events, I would like to write it so that all the angels genuinely believe that the Book of Life equals reality, but actually, it's more accurately described as the nexus of Heaven's influence over reality.
In other words, people, and even things, have a core existence outside of the Book. That's what "free will" is. The Book can absolutely physically remove someone from the universe, but it can't truly 100% "make it so they never existed." And if you KNOW someone is trying to erase you? Like, if you're watching it happen? You can fight it. You end up with an awkward situation where people are essentially hanging on like ghosts - or like Crowley keeping the Bentley together as he drives through the flames on the M25.
Because the truth is, I absolutely adore books, and specifically the Book of Life, as a metaphor. I love it to pieces as a device that can be used to act out series themes.
But.
For some reason, I find the "erase you from existence" thing incredibly, offensively irrational. I guess it just makes NO sense to me - if you erase someone, then based on cause and effect, they used to exist! Spiritually, I also find it incredibly nihilistic. And I suppose this is supposed to be the horror aspect of it, but I can't abide the notion of a universe where a magic book alters the fabric of reality BUT the free will of sapient beings can't even push back a little.
I don't know if this is my way of being a huge quitter because I just don't like the Book of Life mechanic as presented. It feels like I can do more interesting things with it my way, whereas if I do it the GO3 way, I have to treat the Book more delicately and won't get the opportunity to use it as thematically. However, I am aware that making it Secretly Not That Powerful lowers the stakes, which affects how compelling my own story is.

Summary:
Crowley is cold, but fortunately his angel is a very effective heat source.
Excerpt:
"Heat flows from hotter to colder objects at a rate that's related to the properties of the materials in question. Putting insulation in the way only slows down the process. You're warm, I'm cold, heat goes from your corporation to mine. 'S the second law of thermodynamics, Angel."
"Oh, a law, is it?" Aziraphale asked with an affectionate smile. "And since when did you care so much about obeying the law?"
Crowley wriggled in his personal version of a full-body shrug. "This one's a keeper," he said. "Was there when it was invented, after all, and sometimes it works in my favour. Like now. From your warm body to my cold feet."

Welcome to Eden Cottage in the South Downs
Hello! This is my little cottage built as a retirement present for my beloved Ineffable Husbands. It is a customized version of a kit bought online, with lots of little nods and Easter eggs to ensure both occupants are duly represented. Technically, this is designed for Crowley & Aziraphale, but I absolutely can see this working for two retired Professors as well. I welcome all adorable husbands/partners/spouses here!
The living room is a place of compromise in design, comfort, and style. They were sure to bring the bookshop with them, of course, just in miniature.
Who says you can't have a picnic in your own front garden? A little wine, some cheese and crackers, maybe some fruit, and a nice chocolate cake for dessert.
A kitchen should be as warm and inviting as a good meal. Don't forget to restock the bird feeders so the feathered visitors get nice snack, too!
It's important for couples to have their individual spaces. To pull a completely random example, cozy reading library for one and a stargazing garden for another. Harry the Rabbit likes burrowing among the stacks of books, but careful not to tip over that mysterious snowglobe!
Bedrooms are cozy little sanctuaries, perfect for spending long, lazy mornings together, or even longer, less lazy days together.
Over time, the cottage spent enough time with its occupants that it learned a song or two. It was bound to happen...
I am very proud of this build. It is my most involved project to date and I have spent untold hours customizing kit items and building things out of random objects just because I wanted them to exist. The itty bitty wine glasses alone! I almost didn't want to finish building it because it was so fun, but also bittersweet to complete (that's a familiar feeling, eh?) I hope that I can share this with the GO fandom because it was a labor of love. I don't know what I'll do next, but maybe a nice little bookshop in Soho?

In chapter 1 đ
Summary:
Itâs summer once more in Kensington Gardens.
The white marble statue of an Angel, half hidden under a canopy of trees, is content enough with his life, his animal friends in the park, the here and now.
Until an unusual Black Nightingale lands on his left wing and sings to him stories of woe, of mystery, of a dear friend lost, of his quest to find the love of his life again.
Every summer, the Nightingale, who remembers only fragments of what really happened to himself and his long-lost soulmate, revisits the Marble Angel, having gathered more hints and â¨Clues⨠to help his quest. The Angelâs marble heart melts with empathy for him, and with other feelings that seem new - but are they?
~~~
This is a romantic fairytale, inspired by Oscar Wildeâs âThe Happy Princeâ, retelling Good Omens in symbolic language.
âPlease, Crowley.â Aziraphaleâs voice was almost begging. âPlease, you â you donât have to restrain yourself, my dear. Please, show me your grief. I canât â I cannot bear it, seeing you hold it all in like this.â âI held in my love for you for millennia, angel,â Crowley croaked out. âWhat makes this any different?â âBecause you no longer have to,â Aziraphale whispered to him, and then he was cupping Crowleyâs face in both of his hands, lifting him up, closer to him. âBecause there is nothing more to fear.â âWas only ever afraid of losing you.â Crowley heard himself say it, but hardly realized he was saying it; his mouth was moving without his permission, his mind lost in a raucous torrent of sweeping emotion that had gone suppressed for so long. But he would hardly regret it later, because Aziraphale was right. âThought I did.â âIâm here,â said Aziraphale, voice breaking, just as Crowley had said to him. âIâm right here, my dear.â
The final chapter (besides the epilogue) of my GO3 AU/fix-it fic, heavy-laden, has now been posted! Please feel free to check it out at the link below 𫶠I have been working hard on this fic for the past couple of months in an effort to right where I believe GO3 went so wrong, and I really am proud of what I've written here.
(Also -- in uploading this chapter, I have officially published over half a million words in Good Omens fanfiction to Ao3. Which is insane to me. Just insane. I'm so very, very normal about Aziraphale and Crowley, y'all.)
Been reading so many good fanfics lately that describe smells so well that I couldn't help but crack out my side hobby and make an attempt at creating some perfumes based off of those Ineffable Idiots :,) I wish there was an easier way to share them with ya'll, but since they haven't invented a way to illegally download smells yet, I'll add the profiles under the cut :3c let me know what you think!!
I know people are joking, but in case some people are also out there making self-deprecating jokes preemptively like I do: I don't think you have to couch a rejection of GO3 or whatever part of it as denial. I mean, denial exists; you could deny objective facts, things that specifically appear on-screen, but that's typically the opposite of what people are doing when they say "I don't accept GO3" or whatever. In fact, I think there is something pretty down-to-Earth about being able to suss out which parts of a popular cultural story resonate with you and which parts you are choosing not to engage with. You are both recognizing its importance to you and recognizing it as fiction.
In a way, I feel framing it as denial might sort of...give GO3 more power than it deserves in our heads. It's an abstraction with an "authority" based in money (production value) and legal contracts (copyright laws), not in the things that give our experiences meaning. We're having the real experiences. We define our own experiences. People can say there's something wrong with rejecting a portion of canon, but who are they and what authority do they have over what goes on in our heads? Are these people we'd trust to judge other aspects of our lives? It's entirely reasonable to make a choice about what you will allow a fictional work to mean to you. The finale doesn't need to be denied, because it can be chopped up and used as mulch instead.
I donât usually post my art but Iâm tentatively throwing my Good Omens fan-art hat into the ring
