hey! ive been wanting to get into witchcraft but i don’t know where to start! can you please help me?
I would recommend finding something you’re really interested in. Like tarot cards, chanting, one word spells, ancestors, scrying, etc; and researching it.

Advice for Beginner Witches
Herbs and Plants: I would recommend going outside and seeing what you can find. If you live in a city, you can go to the park or a grocery store. Just be careful and do a lot of research on the plants/ herbs you gather outside if you’re planning on ingesting them.
Crystals: If you want to work with your crystals for a variety of purposes, Clear Quartz is all-purpose. If you want to do more specific workings with your crystals (like money spells or contacting ancestors), you could do research into what crystals correspond with your intent.
Advice: You can get a lot of supplies from the Dollar Store and the Dollar Tree. Like incense, candles, a notebook (for your Book of Shadows), jars, seashells, sand, gravel, glasses, playing cards (they can be used as tarot cards), cooking pots, modeling clay, etc. And around Halloween, they sell witch hats if you want one.
You probably have a lot of magickal stuff in your kitchen. Coffee, tea, sugar salt, pepper, grains, fruits, vinegar, cooking herbs, vegetables, milk, honey, alcohol, berries, maple syrup, flour, nuts, olive oil, butter, and rice to name a few. The possibilities are endless!
If you don’t feel drawn to a tool, you don’t need to have it. Do what works for you.
You could use water in your workings. Like Sun water, Moon water, Lake water, Snow water, Holy water, Rose water, and Sea water.
You could make an online Book of Shadows.
Spell Work: I would recommend starting off simple and working your way up to the bigger spells. You could do stuff like cleansing, kitchen magick, charging, tarot (it’s a little difficult though), one-word spells, shower magick, using symbols and sigils, color magick, meditation, and taking a walk outside.
Staying Safe: If you don’t feel comfortable doing something, don’t do it. There is black and white magick. Black magick is what you don’t feel comfortable doing and white magick is what you do feel comfortable doing. Everyone’s definition of black and white magick is different. Just because someone else feels comfortable hexing somebody, doesn’t mean you will.
Be very careful when you ingest herbs and plants you find outside. Do a lot of research on them first from a lot of different websites. And make sure aren’t allergic to something before you ingest it.
If you’re going to cleanse your crystals with water or make spell oils, research it and make sure it’s safe. For example, Angelite will break down in water but Clear Quartz won’t. Crystals like Lapis Lazuli, Emerald, Ruby, Turquoise, Moonstone, and Sapphire are toxic.
Be careful when burning candles and incense (obviously).

I would also recommend checking out Witch and Wiccan YouTubers. My favorite channels are The Witch of Wonderlust, HearthWitch, Harmony Nice, Magickians, and Shadow Harvest.
I hope I could answer your question :) -- And sorry I copy and pasted one of my other posts. I couldn’t come up with any other tips for beginner witches or how to get into witchcraft.
❤ Thank you for asking me a question and have a magickal day! ❤
