Moonrise over The Temple of Poseidon, Greece by Thanassis Economou
your month, your mini bird wearing a hat!
it’s always “sexual identity” “sexuality” “sexual orientation.” as if everything about being queer is defined by sexual intimacy. i know it seems like a non-issue, but i don’t feel as seen. in fact, it seems like the only words available to to describe a label of whoever you’re attracted to do so. even “attraction,” sexual attraction is something i’ll never feel in my life. yet these are the few words people have to describe themselves. maybe i’m just a young, queer, hopelessly romantic lesbian who experiences undeniably strong romantic feelings and can never get over them. and yes, maybe i’m aspec. hey, maybe there’s an undertone of uncertainty about myself in this post, maybe that’s a later discussion. but why does all language of love have to be entirely centred around sex? especially queer love? queer identity? it’s bullshit. is anyone else even bothered enough by this?
Very much agreed, Anon! Orientation is so much more than only sexuality, which may or may not be an important part of how we identify. And I think it's important that we just what facets of our orientation we connect to or not or even care about or not.
Not a non-issue at all, in my opinion. Our society does tend to hyper-focus on this one type of attraction, or lump them all in together as though it's all part of the same thing. But you are absolutely allowed to centre or not other types of attraction when it comes to choosing how you want to conceptualize your identity. Sexual identity doesn't even have to enter into at all if you don't want it to.
All the best, Anon!

happy pride to the gay people in my computer <3
"Creatives deserve to be paid" and "We desperately need community spaces for creatives that aren't focused on trying to make money or advance careers where we're allowed to make connections and experiment" are two statements that can and should coexist.
Happy Pride Month!!! 🌈💕🌼✨
Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is clean your room, open the window, and let the air move again. Energy needs circulation just like lungs do.
guys my first protection spell was a jar seal with white wax, it broke in my bag and spilled the salt and stuff all over
my second protection spell jar spilled out because i used chilli oil this time and it is spilling through the wax.
is the wax at fault, me carrying the jars in places that can kinda break them, or are my protections being... met with problems? these are two in a row spell jars. it hasn't been more than 2 weeks
I'm late to the party as usual, but hello!
So this is a really good learning opportunity. When something goes wrong with my spells, or the focus of a spell, I try to pause and analyze the moving parts to see what happened. Sometimes it's a matter of circumstance, sometimes it's a matter of mechanics, and sometimes it's just physics. I think this one is just physics.
When you're carrying a charm in a bag, it's going to get knocked around by whatever else is in there, and glass has a tendency to fracture at the LEAST opportune times, especially when it contains something that makes a mess when spilled. Given that this has now happened twice within a short space of time, I think it's just glass being glass, rather than any failure of the spell or overuse of the protection magic.
I'll echo what someone said in the comments and recommend that future spell jars be placed somewhere where they're not going to move or be disturbed, rather than carrying them around. If you want to carry a physical spell focus in your bag, I would suggest something like a charm bag or enchanted stone. Something that's a bit less fragile and can stand up to daily buffeting.
Also, pro-tip - oil can loosen the grip of a wax seal if they come into contact. So that may have contributed to the problem.
Again, stuff like this is a learning experience, and it's something every practitioner runs into at some point. You'll laugh about it later, I promise! Just make a note of it for the future and then try another method. (And keep asking questions!)
Good luck!
Be okay with celebrating things on the wrong days!
You are allowed to prioritize your everyday, mundane life as needed.
Be okay with celebrating things on the wrong days!
The "old traditions" didn't rely on the calender as we use it. You don't have to either.
Be okay with celebrating things on the wrong days!
Don't set yourself on fire for the warmth of others. Do what you need to do and celebrate or practice when you are able to.

I follow the sun, the moon, the seasons and the weather. It's Beltane for me now, not because of the date but because the hawthorn in my garden is blooming. This can vary by a couple of weeks depending on the weather right here (Midlands, England) and by more than that to the South or North.
I also see it as season, not a day/date. Right now, it's Beltane season, and it's so much about how the world feels around me. I'm just outside Edinburgh, and it's been warm and fecund here for days, absolutely gorgeous Beltane vibes!
Not wanting to have sex is NOT a problem. It doesn’t matter if you are asexual or allo, there is nothing wrong with not wanting sex. It’s just an activity. That’d be like saying that if you don’t like soccer, you need to go to soccer therapy to figure out why you dislike it and figure out how to like it because it’s for your own good. See how ridiculous that sounds? IT IS OK TO NOT WANT TO HAVE SEX AND IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!!!!!
This is your regularly scheduled reminder not to fuck around with using herbs OR crystals in or on the body without doing your research. I'm talking actual study of both body and the herb/crystal in question.
"this herb is supports menstrual health!" Cool. what does it DO? Like physically, what? Be specific.
How do your bodily organs function? Could you identify the individual organs? Can you explain how they work? If that organ is ill or not functioning correctly, do you know exactly what's going wrong and what needs to happen to fix it?
What component of that plant is affecting the body and how? Does your body need extra support in that way? How do you know? What other effects can this plant have on other parts of the body? Will it have chemical responses to other medications, herbs, or foods you are putting in your body?
Some minerals can start sweating sulfuric acid in high humidity, did you know that? Other rocks and crystals can contain toxic elements and heavy metals like mercury that can poison you. Sometimes they will straightup just dissolve in water — that doesn't mean they disappear, that means the water is contaminated with whatever elements and chemicals were in that stone, and it is probably not safe to drink.
Look, I'm all for herbal medicine. Crystals and stones can have really interesting uses for magic. But you can't just start smoking random plants or throwing things in a tea based on correspondence lists, or you're going to poison yourself or your loved ones.
If you want to be a healer, start with learning about the body. Not tea brewing.
The Germans really cooked making "Hobbyless behaviour" an insult. It is both devastating, applicable to a wide range of people and behaviours, and doesn't resort to swearing.
Man ranting on the internet about the Superbowl halftime show or complaining that something is "woke"? Hobbyless Behaviour. Girls mocking another girl for not looking right? Hobbyless Behaviour. Mindless vandalism? Hobbyless Behaviour.
It is more powerful than "get a life" or the English "You're Sad" because it gets to the central point of the matter, and that is wonderful. Danke, Deutsch.
