She needs a night out. Badly.
she can stay at a friends place. so her momma can go out without having to worry!
“It’s okay really, just I don’t go out much either anymore. But thank you.”
“But you should go out, momma! Don’t forget to live your life just because of me!”
“I just — I don’t want to get into it. But I’ll think about it. Just I’ve done it before and don’t even think I went to again.”
“Okay this sounds really serious in some way. So if you need to talk about it I am here.”
“Not too serious, just — things happened and so, I try not to fall into old habits. But I’ll be okay. You don’t need to worry about anything. You’re too young for that. Boring older people things.”
“Okay…I will try not to worry. I just want you to enjoy yourself and don’t hold back cause you have me! I am pretty sure Willa wouldn’t mind if I stayed over!”
“It’s not because of you. I don’t want you to ever think that. It’s just everything else that is going on. You’re never the reason okay?”
“Okay momma! I got it! I love you! I think you need to hear that more often from me! It always calms me and helps me feel better when you tell me that! So I was thinking it also could work the other way.”
A small smile pulled at Arizona’s face and she couldn’t help but think everything was getting better: she was in a better place and just hoped everything else stayed like that.
“I love you. And thank you. I feel I need to hear to hear occasionally as well. But you’re amazing. Never forget that either. You’re pretty amazing.”
The teen went over to hug her mom. Smiling at her from ear to ear. “Thanks for saying that! I am glad you think I am amazing. I guess I am okay. But you are my momma so of course you say I am amazing!” The blonde teenager Answered.
Pulling away from the hug with a playful roll of her eyes and laughing. “I’m not just saying that. Trust me. You’re amazing. More then I think you even realize. So, don’t ever forget that. Everyone sees it. So you’re good.”
The smile on Arizona’s face says it all. That’s exactly what she meant and wanted Lennon to realize what she meant to her.
The teen chuckled softly. “I appreciate it! Thank you for everything! And yes I won’t forget that! Ever.” she told her.
“Would you want to hang out with me right now maybe? We could order some food it whatever.” he suggested.
"you're welcome. Nothing is your fault. Don't think because I don't want to do anything is because of you. At all."
A smile on her face, and Arizona nodded her head. She would love to hang out with Lennon. She knows there will come a time where both Lennon and Sofia won't want to hang out with her anymore.
"Of course, you know what you want to eat tonight? Or did you want to look around at things and see what you want?"
She smiled from ear to ear. Hugging her momma again. She was super happy that Arizona was spending time with her.
“Thank you.” She replied. “Yes I was hoping we could order pizza from that little place by the corner of our house!” She admitted and smiled softly.
Lennon was super hyped.
Wrapping her arms around Lennon and Arizona pulls away just as Lennon does and she just hopes she doesn’t think any of this is her fault again. It’s not what she thinks. At all.
“Of course. We can do that. Did you want the same thing you always get? Or did you want me to order something different? The choice is yours.” Arizona didn’t mind what they ate, it was all about wanting Lennon to eat and just relax for the night as Arizona has had a long week as well.
“Anything else you want?”
Lennon was thinking for a moment. “Uh let’s try something new.” She told her momma and smiled.
The petite blonde often struggled with guilt when it came to her health issues. Cause she knew how hard it could be on the people around her. Especially her mom.
“I also wouldn’t say no to ice cream. Can we grab some cotton candy ice cream from the store as well?” She suggested. It was one of her favorite kind of deserts.
Shocked that Lennon wanted to try something new. Arizona wasn't one to venture out too much as well when it came to food, and knowing Lennon was the same way, so this was fun. Arizona was willing to try something new as well.
"Sounds good, I think I will try something new and you know I am not one who does that. So we can get ice cream and something new to eat." A smile pulled at Arizona's face and she was just glad that Lennon was feeling well enough to go out and get some food.
"Are you ready to go now? Or did you want to wait a little bit?" Tilting her head slightly, and Arizona waited to see just what Lennon wanted to do.
Lennon sure was like a mini Arizona sometimes. Which was funny cause they weren’t related by blood. But they looked similar, Lennon wasn’t one to try our new food, neither was her mom. “Yay! Ice cream and new food sounds awesome!” The younger blonde replied.
She shook her head a bit. “Oh no I don’t need a few minutes! I am ready to go. A seizure is not fun at all but this one was not so bad and I won’t let it ruin my day! So let’s have some mother-daughter fun!” She happily said and jumped up and down.
Everything Arizona did was for her kids and that was something she took with pride. She wasn’t one who wanted kids before Sofia, and now she has two and she wouldn’t trade it for the world. But she couldn’t help but laugh at the similarities that Lennon and her had.
“Then if you’re ready, then let’s go. Don’t want to waste another moment, do you have everything you want to take?” Tilting her head and she just wanted to make sure the teen had everything she was wanting to take and Arizona grabbed everything she was needing and she started to move so the two of them could get out and have fun.
Lennon was so hyper right now. Spending time with her mom was something she enjoyed alot. So she was quite happy to spend some time with her now. Plus there was gonna be food. And Lennon was a foodie. So that was a big bonus.
“I have everything I need. Got my backpack, I have Momo & I happen to be very hungry.” She said and chuckled softly. Smiling at her mom. She was walking next to her, Momo keeping an eye on her.
Seeing excitement in Lennon’s eyes meant Arizona was doing the right thing. She was doing what she needed to, to make Lennon feel somewhat human at this point. She knew and suffered a lot but Arizona tried and that’s all she could do. Nodding once with a laugh and the smile staying spread across Arizona’s face she was ready as well.
“Well luckily I am one of those things and that’s very hungry as well. So let’s go. Get Momo in the car please. And I’ll lock the house up and be right there.”
Lennon really was thankful that her momma made an effort to give her some sweet moments. Those made her feel normal and not like she had to step back from fun stuff. Which was something she really really needed. Especially right now at this very age.
“Glad you are hungry as well!” She said and quickly made Her way to the car with Momo. Putting him inside and then getting in herself.
She was now waiting for her momma to finish locking the house and joining her in the car. The teen put on some music she enjoyed. Humming along to the melody.
Lennon was going to the car and Arizona was on her way as well, after locking the door and walking over to the door and getting into the driver seat and putting her purse into the passenger side seat and starting the car, she was looking forward to them just spending the time together and just doing something that doesn't make it seem like Lennon is limited on anything.
"So I figured we would eat first, and then head to anywhere you want to go. Being we haven't really eaten anything and you need to eat before we do anything else. So, sound good? And are you buckled in?" Since the car crash, Arizona was all concerned about seat belts, no matter who was in her car.
Lennon wasn’t a fan of people treating her like she was broken. So she loved that her mom tried not doing that. At least not right now. It all felt pretty exciting right now.
Food first sounded good in her eyes. Food was the best option right now. “Yes momma! Food first! Then shopping?” She suggested. “And yes I am all buckled in!” The younger blonde asked softly.
Lennon was aware that since the car accident, her mom was more concerned about seatbelts. And she had every right to be concerned, given what had happened.
Arizona knew that episodes come and go. But she can't help but be concerned because she was a pediatric surgeon for the most part, and a fetal surgeon and knew signs, but sometimes she feels she has to watch Lennon carefully if anything else. But right now things seems to be going good and Arizona was in the car, checking everything and her seatbelt along with looking back and seeing Lennon was strapped in.
"Food it is then." A smile was spread on Arizona's face as she looked back at Lennon from the rearview mirror and once she seen she was buckled in, she reversed the car and she was down the driveway and onto the road and on to restaurant they both wanted to try.
"How was school this week? I don't think I have gotten a chance to ask because work has kept me more then I would like with Sofia coming back soon, to have time to spend with both of you."
Lennon really did appreciate the fact that her momma didn’t seem to freak out every five seconds when she was not feeling well. Cause not feeling good didn’t always mean she was gonna have a seizure or something. So it had her good and her bad sides that Arizona was a pediatric surgeon. Her momma was always thinking about the medical side. But this also meant she had an better eye for dangerous situations or just her not feeling well.
“Can’t wait to eat.” She said and chuckled softly.
When her momma mentioned school she was shrugging her shoulders. “I understand. Your work is important! School was okay! Boring for the most part. But okay. Nothing special happened!” Lennon told her Arizona.
Arizona knew taking on Lennon and her medical problems meant not freaking out about the little things. She couldn’t if she was going to keep Lennon calm and not worry about anything else. That was the main thing. She had to really just allow Lennon to let her know when’ she needed something but being with her making her feel like nothing was wrong was all Arizona wanted. She wanted Lennon to feel normal, and not worry about being sick and having seizures.
Laughing, Arizona felt the same, she couldn’t wait to eat, as she felt like she hasn’t eaten in a couple of days with working so much. “I can’t wait either, and the place we are going, it is always good. So, I am looking forward to it.” Smiling to look at Lennon through the review mirror, she was just happy she wanted to go somewhere and really just be out and be in the fresh air, Arizona knew that sometimes helps.
“It is hard work, but I try. I have had a schedule since Sofia and now I have one with you, and I am loving it. Don’t think otherwise okay? This is what I do, and we do this. So today is about you.”
Lennon was happy right now, not having to think about seizures and being sick for a moment. She hated hospitals but also was thankful for them cause if they didn’t exist she would never have met Arizona and the older blonde would have never become her momma. She would still suffer with her terrible birth parents. Good thing that wasn’t the case.
The younger blonde would for sure be dead right now. Now she had a mom that loved her and a dog that loved her as well and took care of her as well.
Lennon was cuddling up to Momo. Smiling a little.
“We are both foodies! I am pretty convinced I am somehow your biological kid!” She let her know. “And yes it’s the best place!” Lennon agreed.
“Thank you for everything you do! I love hanging out with you!”
When Arizona met Lennon at the hospital, she didn’t know what she was going to do, but she really felt she needed to do something and help the younger girl, and that’s when she decided she was the best to look after her and was she ready for a teenager? She was not but she made it work, because she knew Lennon needed someone who knew how to help her and not ignore anything that was going on.
Laughing a little and shaking her head. If there was one thing Arizona loved, it was good food and Lennon just happened to love adventures and eating when they could get out and try new things. Shrugging her shoulders, Arizona loved the compliment. “Well, good food is something I have always loved. And Callie, she used to cook such good meals, that maybe I was spoiled. But, I learned and I love going out every now and then and getting new food to try. Just glad you enjoy it too.”
She was being honest, it all started once Callie started cooking for her and then it just happened that Arizona wanted good food all the time. “Please keep that in mind when you’re older and I’m tagging along. Right now you’re still in school. So it works, but after, I’m sure you’ll change your mind.”
Lennon would never have thought in a million years that going to the hospital would make her so lucky. Cause she didn’t only get someone to help her medical wise but she also got a mom that loved her no matter what. Best thing ever.
She sure loved trying out new food, so the fact that they both were foodies was pretty great. They never argued about wanting to try new food or stuff like that. No they just did and enjoyed themselves.
“I am glad we both like great food and I am glad Callie opened your mind to a lot more possibilities when it came to food. Cause now we get to share our passion for food with one another!” She happily stated. “You are a great cook, momma. Just wanted to let you know.”
She grinned softly. “I am sure I always gonna want to hang out with you! We should have a mother daughter day at least once a week when I get older.” Lennon answered and she really did mean it.
Was Arizona looking to adopt another child? She wasn’t but Lennon needed someone who understood her. Who understood what she needed and that’s exactly what Arizona was doing. She was giving Lennon the best life she could give her and that meant the world to Arizona knowing she was happy, another thing was they both loved trying new foods.
“Good thing. Because before Callie, I didn’t eat much of anything because I couldn’t really cook. I never learned as I moved around a lot as a kid and then I went into medical school, so, it never occurred to me, but now, I love new foods and cooking more then I thought I would.” Laughing, though Arizona knew she wasn’t the best cook, But she tried to make sure it was all edible in a sense.
“I can hope, but I won’t get offended if you don’t. You’re older and things happen. I remember when I didn’t want to hang out with my mom anymore.” Looking at the younger blonde in the rear view mirror before Arizona pulled into the parking lot and ready to get this day started with Lennon and have a good time, and let her be normal for a while and just be out with fresh air. That is all it’s about. All it should be about.
Truth to be told, Arizona saved her life. If it wasn’t for her she for sure would be dead by now. Either cause of not getting medical attention she needed or cause her birth parents would have done things to hurt her.
“I really enjoy it! So I need to thank Callie for this!” She replied and offered her a gentle smile. “I also was thinking we should start cooking together more, mom.” The young woman answered.
It was good to know that her mom wouldn’t be angry or upset if the time was gonna come when Lennon didn’t want to hang out with her anymore. But right now Lennon didn’t think like that at all. “I am glad to hear that! But momma it’s different for me. Because without you I wouldn’t be able to be here right now! I for sure would be dead if it wasn’t for you!” The younger blonde told her.
She was glad that Lennon enjoyed the little things like this. Arizona doesn’t do the things much, but when she does she likes to escape for a while and really just allow herself to relax and really just be there when Lennon needed her. But hearing the blondes comment, Arizona laughs a little and shakes her head. Callie did help her cook and learn a little more in the kitchen.
“Well I’m sure she’ll take it and run with it at something she taught me. Being she can’t do what I do at work and I can’t do what she does. But, we should. We can cook a few things at the house and just allow the two of us to be home and enjoying being home. Since it’s something I don’t really do much.” A smile was pulled across Arizona’s face and she just loved that Lennon wanted to do those things.
“I don’t think it’d be that dramatic but I do think it’d be worst, but you’re good right now, and you’re as healthy as you can be and that’s all that matters to me.” Pulling into the parking lot, Arizona pulled into the parking spot closes to the door and she puts the car into park and she looks back at Lennon through the review mirror. “You ready?”
Those things sure made her happy. The little things. Which was normal for other people, spending time with her mom and going out to eat or cooking together.
“Glad you agree! Cooking together is so much fun! I really do enjoy it! So Callie showing you means a lot! Since now it’s something we can do together!” The younger blonde admitted.
Lennon was as healthy as possible and it didn’t look like a seizure or anything was getting in the way of things today. Which was amazing. “That’s true.” She answered. Her birth parents were quite evil. So it wouldn’t be a surprise if she was I worse shape or dead right now if she had to stay with them. Thankfully she didn’t. She was free from them and had an amazing mom that loved her.
“Yes I am ready! So is Momo!” She said and grinned when her dog started barking in agreement.
Arizona knew the little things mattered for kids. Sofia loved the little things and Lennon recently has enjoyed the small things and it made Arizona beam with happiness and she loved that they could do these things and lose track of time and just have fun. That is what it was about for kids and teenagers when they were with parents who took the time out to do all of that. So cooking more together would be fun and Arizona was up for it when she wasn’t working late.
“Well, I wasn’t the worst in the kitchen, but the things I can cook now, it is better then what it was when I first met Callie, and cooking with you and giving the skills to you that I learned from her and that we did together, it means a lot. Sofia is wanting to learn too, so it is something I don’t mind doing with either of you.” A smile pulled at Arizona’s face as she mentioned Sofia and just wished she was there right now.
Getting out of the car and waiting for Lennon to join her, Momo and her scramble from the car and Arizona locks the doors behind them and she walks over to meet them at the side of the car and looks at the place. “So this is where you wanted to go huh? if you’re ready lead the way and I will be right beside you.” This was all about them and Lennon being out and getting fresh air which is good and not to overdue it either. That is the main thing today and Arizona knew they could get a lot done if they took it easy. “Where did you want to go after we eat?”
Lennon smiled softly when her mom mentioned Sofia. She liked spending time with her sister. “So excited to spend more time together with Sofia as well! And I am sure the three of us are going to have fun cooking!” She said and smiled even more. “When I was little I always pretended to be a chef at my own restaurant. It was called ‘Lennon’s flavor corner’.” She told her momma and laughed at remembering when she was younger and played in her room for hours.
When Lennon got out of the car with Momo she looked around. “Yes that’s the place! It always tastes great here!” She happily answered. Leading the way and opening the door.
“We could go to the mall and after that maybe for a little walk before cuddling up on the couch with a good movie?”
Arizona missed Sofia. She wasn’t even going to deny that. Just knowing she was growing up as well, Arizona feels like she is missing a lot. But she does know Sofia loves to cook, so it is something that she knows they all can do together, and hearing Lennon’s story, she was glad he was getting to know about the younger blonde a little better and learning more about her past as time goes on. She can’t help but smile envisioning little Lennon doing that.
“I bet you were cute doing that. But I can’t wait for all of us to cook together. But you, if that is something you want to do, then definitely go for it and see what you can accomplish. Don’t let anything stop you okay? If you want to be a chef, then know I am supporting that.” A smile on Arizona’s face letting Lennon know she was meaning just what she said and hoping she goes for everything she wants to do with her life.
Holding the door open for Lennon to get into the restaurant and agreeing. This place was always a favorite of theirs and it was always good. “This place is so good. But we can do that. Just let me know if you’re tired and I will sit with you until you are good to go again okay? And a movie sounds good. Maybe we can find a new one why we are out? Something we don’t own yet?” Telling the hostess it was two of them and they are lead to a table with a menus.
Sitting down on one side and Lennon taking the other side, and Arizona opens the menu to see just what she wants.
Lennon knew her mom missed her sister and she couldn’t blame her. So did she. Growing up she always wanted a sibling but never was this lucky. The fact that she didn’t have a sibling growing up was probably for the best though. Her birth parents sucked at being good parents and they only caused ger misery.
But now Lennon had an amazing mom and an amazing sister. Something she was always gonna be thankful for.
“I think I was.” She answered. “I do have to look through my photo box and see if I can find a picture of me playing chef Lennon!” She told her and was smiling at the memory. She liked sharing little things like that with her momma. “Oh neither can I! It will be a lot of fun!” She answered. “And I promise I won’t give up on that dream if I want to make this my job!” She replied and nodded her head softly. It made her happy and thankful that her mom was so supportive of her.
The teen agreed with that plan. “Yes I for sure will tell you if I need a break or anything! But I am sure our favorite food is gonna help me to get all the energy I need for a shopping trip and a nice walk. I like the movie idea by the way! I think we gonna find the perfect movie for us to watch!” Lennon felt really happy cause this really felt like a normal mother daughter day. It was the best feeling ever in her eyes.
Arizona really didn’t like dwelling on the fact that Sofia was splitting time between Callie and herself, but somedays, like today when Lennon and her were doing these things and Arizona knowing Sofia would love to be there was when it hit her more then anything. Maybe that was just her really thinking too hard, but Lennon and Sofia were her world and seeing the two of them together really just warmed Arizona’s heart knowing Sofia wanted a sibling as well.
Imagining little Lennon made Arizona smile and she wanted to see those photos of her in the kitchen and playing chef. She knew she would be cute. “Just when you can. I would just like to see it and possibly put it on the refrigerator with the other photos I have there. Only if you’ll let me. No pressure Lennon, but I’d like to have some photos of you when you were younger.” Arizona was all about photos and wanting Sofia to know her father and that was all about getting to know Lennon as a kid as well.
“Good, I don’t want you giving up on your dream. You can do anything you want to do, and I’ll be there along the way to see you reach your goals and be what you want to be.” Arizona meant that and knew that Lennon didn’t have that with her birth parents from what she understood but Arizona wanted both of her kids to know she will support them whatever they wanted to do. Nodding her head once glad that Lennon will take it easy if she needed to.
“I just worry. So, please just let me know.” Arizona saying it again just wanting Lennon to know she was there to do what she couldn’t do. As they were in the restaurant and seated, Arizona hands Lennon a menu and she looks at one as well. “What do you think you’re going to get to eat this time?”
Lennon knew it was hard on her momma that Sofia was splitting time between her and Callie. And the petite blonde could totally see why. She missed her sister as well when she wasn’t there with them.
The blonde was smiling from ear to ear. “Oh yes momma for sure! I will show you and we can put some on the fridge. I would like that a lot!” She said softly. And it would probably not be as hard to look at the pictures with her mom instead of by herself. Cause she hasn’t really looked through the pictures at all since she was adopted.
“I know you gonna support me no matter what and that means a lot to me! Cause sometimes I am thinking to myself that I can’t do something so I won’t give it a try!” She Answered softly. Offering her a happy smile.
She took the menu from her mom and chuckled softly. “Of course you worry. You are my mom! It’s in your job description!” She told her and than nodded her head. “Oh yes I will get the spicy spring rolls.”
Arizona was trying not to dwell on the fact that Sofia was missing out on days like this. She knew she loved these days as well, but it was about Lennon today and making sure she felt okay, and making sure she sat down when she felt like something was going to happen as she didn’t want to rush her into anything and they weren’t in a rush to do anything.
A smile on her face, starting to learn about Lennon when she was younger and that meant she can get some photos and just put them up like she has of Sofia. “Thank you, I just want more photos of you. I know you might not have a lot, but what you have I would love to have just so I can make it an even thing for both you and Sofia on my refrigerator and walls.” Arizona didn’t want Lennon to feel left out as she was just making sure she knew she wanted photos of her.
But Arizona was all about Lennon going for something she wants to do, and that meant she would be doing something she wanted to do. “I just don’t want you holding back. You are the one who can make things happen and if you want to cook when you’re older then we will make sure that happens. I don’t want you holding back.” Arizona was all about giving her kids pep talks, as she had that growing up and she wants her kids to have that as well.
As she looked over the menu and her eyes run over the meals, and she knew what she wanted to get. “I just know you’re getting older is all.” As the waiter came over, Arizona motioned with her head for Lennon to order first. “Go ahead and order first, everything you want please.”
Lennon knew her momma was sad about the fact that Sofia was missing out on a lot of things when she wasn’t with them and she felt bad about it because she hated seeing her momma upset or sad.
Also Lennon was Gonna take things easy cause she didn’t want to cause her mom any more stress and she for sure was stressed when she was gonna have to worry about her daughter having a seizure or whatever. So she was keeping things on the low.
Hearing that her momma wanted more pics of her to have them displayed around the house made her really happy. “No need to thank me momma, I have to thank you! Cause I like that you want to have pics of me around the house!” She admitted and smiled at her.
She appreciated the support of her momma and the fact that she believed in her means they world to the younger blonde. “Thanks for believing in me and wanting to make sure I reach my goals! If means so much to me!” Lennon told Arizona.
Lennon nodded her head softly and smiled a bit. She then turned to the waiter . “Hello, can I please have the spicy spring rolls, a small side salad and a peach iced tea. Thank you.” The blonde said softly.
Arizona at the beginning struggled with the time she spent apart from Sofia, because she was so used to seeing her. But with Lennon, and Sofia both, she was more aware that maybe it was the right thing, because Lennon and her, they had somethings to do and to really just be able to spend time together and do things that she knew Sofia would love to do when she got back, but Arizona wanted things to do with Lennon as well, as mother and daughter and that is why she was glad they could do this as well.
But the one thing missing, to make it seem like she was really home was the pictures of her when she was younger. Arizona has Sofia, and photos of her and Sofia as she was getting bigger and she has photos of Lennon and herself, but it was more just Lennon being younger she wanted to fill up her walls beside Sofia. That is what she does and knew she needed to do for them all. “I want you next to Sofia in my house as a kid. That is what I think will finish off my walls. So, just when you can, get them and we can hang them up together. I have places in the house I have and they are saved for you.”
Arizona smiled at Lennon, glad she could get those photos and hoping soon they could get photos of both Sofia and her. “Also, when Sofia comes back, I want to get photos done with you and her. Are you okay if we do that?” She wanted to ask Lennon knowing Sofia was already set for those. Letting Lennon order and then Arizona looks at the menu and she orders her food as well. “Can I have the chow main with chicken please. And a veggie roll and a water.” The waiter took their order and went to get their food ready. “You can have some noodles as well if you want some.”
Oh how she loved that she had things she both loved and enjoyed doing with her momma and her sister. Like food for example.
Good food was something people could bond over. Lennon was watching her momma order their food and talk to the waiter while her mind wandered off for a moment. She was so grateful for everything Arizona has done for her. Her momma saved her life in more than just one way .
“Noodles do sound good. But I will see how hungry I am!” The teen replied with a soft smile.
She nodded her head softly. “Of course I am cool with taking photos together with Sofia! I mean she is my sister and I love that idea actually! Also gonna get on picking out some photos you can decorate the house with.” Lennon explained to her.
There was something else the blonde wanted to ask. “Momma? Can I ask you something else?” Lennon wanted to go to a little party. The theme was ‘first kiss’ and everyone that didn’t have their first kiss yet could find someone to kiss. But she was not sure it she should share that information with her momma yet. Well she most likely was gonna tell her because she was probably gonna ask for advice.
Yes the teen never had kissed anyone before. Not romantically at least.
Arizona was a person who loved food. Thanks to Callie and the way she cooked for her when they were together, she got into the habit of trying new things and seeing just what she liked and what she didn’t like. That is what she instilled in her kids. Sofia was just like Callie and a lot. Lennon, she ate good too and trying new things with her, it was one of Arizona’s favorite things if she was being honest. She just loved that fact that they could share that and they would be able to know if they wanted it again or not. So Arizona ordered the food and she handed the waiter both menus once they were done.
“Noodles are always good. Whether you eat them all here, we can take them home and you can have them later. That is one good thing about those. They are good warmed up the next day as well.” A smile pulled at her face smiling back at Lennon and knowing Sofia was coming home soon, she wanted to have photos of the two of the together and Arizona was going to schedule an appointment for that. “Okay awesome, I am seeing up an appointment for that. She will be home in a couple of weeks and I will have that ready for the two of you, she is excited as well.”
But curious just what Lennon wanted to ask her, she tilted her head confused but wanted to see just what she was thinking about. “Sure, you can ask me anything, what is on your mind?”
She was looking forward to taking pictures with her sister. And seeing her was something she was excited about as well.
"oh yes that's true! It is why i love noodles. Cause there is so much you can do with them!" The Teen replied and then was quiet for a moment. "Please can i go to the Party tonight? There is this girl i like..." She admitted. Thinking about the sweet brunette she was crushing on.
"and how do you know what steps to take?" She was talking about Kissing, making out and what usually came at some point. Lennon was turning a little red now. but she missed out on so much due to her Hospital stays. So she was behind on the whole dating thing.
Laughing low, Arizona could not even argue about noodles. There was so much to them and yet so little to them all at once. As they were talking, she could tell Lennon was wanting to ask something and she allowed the teen to ask her instead of her bringing it up. "What do you mean by party? Are there going to be adults?" Arizona wanted Lennon to have the freedom, she trusted her, but not others.
She wasn't sure she was ready for this, but Lennon was getting older and she didn't want her walking into anything she wasn't ready for. "That is the thing, it is all different for everyone and everyone has different stories. Just you will know when it happens. I know for Callie and I, it was slower only because she had just gotten out of something with someone, and I didn't want to rush her but I knew I wanted her from day one." God, those memories seemed so long ago, but also, not because they are still very vivid in her mind.
Lennon looked at her Mama and blushed a bit. Letting out a small sigh.
"um, the Party is at a Friends House. Her older siblings gonna be there. Her parents are out of town and they said she could invite some people and have a little party." The blonde Teenager explained and took a sip of her Drink.
Lennon was quiet for a moment. "I mean i am not planning on...you know. But my first real kiss would be nice." The blonde answered. "And i really hope i get to talk to her. So please can i go? I hope you are right about me knowing when the time is right."
Arizona had not reason not to trust Lennon. She hasn’t given her a reason. But parties and for teenagers, it just didn’t sit right, but she had rules if she was going to allow her to go.
“Okay, so, if I let you go, you’ll call me if anything happens?” She was unsure on why she said yes, but maybe it was just she was finally in a good place with everything and was able to just have fun.
“Just don’t do anything that you’ll regret and you let me know when you’re there and everything else, you do one thing to get yourself in trouble, you aren’t able to go anymore, okay?”
