“Oh!”
Golden eyes with white centers seemed to widen a bit in surprise, she’d never expected Zen to really.. invite her out to small moments like this. Not that it was really worth being surprised or anything at all - it wasn’t like they were going on a date - but still! She was surprised because … they didn’t seem very close. Sure they were friendly, and it was established they were friends, but very few times had they found chances to hang out..
“Sure!” Mary finally replied after a few moments, a charming chuckle escaping her lips, “I’d like that!” she smiled.
“I can finally see my puppy prince again~!” she sighed dramatically, giggling soon after at her own antics.
This was anyone but the adorable boy she had kissed in the garden days ago! He was rude! He - he was aggressive! The fact that Saeran even went as far to push her into this situation, pin her against the wall, and trap her here, showed it!
This COULD NOT BE the one she fell in love with during her stay here!
But.. at the same time, he looked so much like him..
It was confusing!!!
Her heartbeat gently pattered against her chest as innocent golden hues stared up at the man before her, her face a blaze. A blushing mess as she silently gritted her teeth, trying to keep herself calm as she lightly trembled under his gaze. Her legs felt a bit lose, like jelly to an extent - However, Mary knew she had to stand her ground. This was the only way she could possibly survive this afterall! The raven didn’t know what this man was capable of - and she wasn’t going to allow him to experiment with her to find out!
It ached her to feel all this high tension in the air, eating at her soul to find out what this stranger was plotting to do next. Mary hated the look on his face, that smug grin that practically screamed she was doing exactly what he wanted.
It angered her.
She wasn’t some doll he could control! She was a living being!
Stop playing with her!
As time continued on, the raven could only feel the tension rise for them as well. She hated this - she hated attempting to predict what next move could be. As she knew, one wrong move, and she could be done for. He could possibly be carrying a weapon or something after all! So what could she do!?
Well, the answer to her question appeared soon enough.
With a swift movement, the black-suited albino pressed himself against her. Pressing his lips forcefully against Mary’s, making her release a sudden squeak in surprise as she was now locked in a kiss with this stranger. Adding to the blushing frenzy that was her face by making it redden, golden eyes widening at the situation as well. Fear and confusion striking her before the raven in question took action. Pressing both hands on his chest and shoving him back before things could escalate further, Mary hiding her face by someone covering her abused lips with her arm.
The man could legitimately be anything he wanted to be, he had the looks, the charm, the attitude - when he was feeling the mood - and just.. he had everything necessary if he really put his mind into the following. He was a good actor for sure, it was honestly hard to know he was faking stuff at times. It proved to be a difficult task, even for Mary at times.
However, despite the rough patches, she would try to be there for him regardless of what the outcome would be. The raven wanted him to be safe, to be happy, and that’s all she could ever really want from someone like him.
He deserved the world afterall!
However, the times that were happy for him - were always…
random.

Not that Mary would ever complain, the raven genuinely loved his company regardless of what mood he was in. It was always silly and fun regardless of what was happening, but even she couldn’t deny the fact she could be taken back at times by his antics. This one definitely is one of them that had taken her back.
Why? You may ask?
Well, he was upside down on some white - makeshift rope in a spiderman costume!

“Saeyoung?! –” Mary began, absolutely flabbergasted as she quickly searched for words to say to her boyfriend. So surprised by the circumstance as the last thing the raven would have ever expected was to have Seven meet her like this! Not she was complaining, Seven seemingly did still look nice in a spiderman costume - suited his character to a degree - but was he crazy?! One wrong move and he could potentially get hurt! Fall and break his neck or something!
“What are you doing!?” she asked further, her golden hues looking into his. Surprise and concern already taking form on her face, “How’d you get up there ?! I -” she began listing the questions that expressed her concern, only to suddenly tense in her place. Seven’s sly moves leading him over to gently take the back of the head, pulling her into a kiss that hushed her into silence. The raven blinking once, and then twice before returning the kiss for a moment before gently pulling away. Giving the two a few moments of sweet silence before the raven in question gave out a small sigh, smiling at her lover as she chuckled.
Before reaching up and pinching his cheek.
“Get down!” she said, a blush silently illuminating over her features as she stared him in the face, “You’re going to get hurt!”
Breakfasts were always some of the sweetest times.
It was peaceful as everyone had yet get the energy to wake up, and so it was often silent, sweet, and blissful. It was perfect for moments where you just needed time to yourself, to do whatever you wanted without any judgment what so ever. It’s kind of the reason why it was also some people’s most favorite time of day, besides of the food that would be brought to the table at times, of course.
Speak of breakfast, gentle purple hues silently observed the food she was making now. Slowly untying her apron to put it aside as she got plates, prepped to place their meals on the table - only to halt when the albino noticed a particular brunette who made an appearance. The ex-agent raising a brow as gave Vanderwood a slight grin as he approached, watching him before he leaned down and gently gave her a delicate kiss, which she seemed to return for a moment before pulling away. Chuckling to herself at his charming actions.
“You okay there, Wood? You seem totally out of it.” she asked, raising a brow of playful suspicion towards the other ex-agent in question.
It was peaceful - beautiful all the same. The night was clear, illuminated by nothing but the moon and its companions, The stars. It was silent, so hushed, it felt as if the rest of the world had been asleep in this absolute moment as the rays of moonlight snuck through the glass and effortlessly brought everything around it alive.
It was perfect.
Or - at least to Mary it was.
The raven in question always was quite bias when it came to times like this. Sure, she did enjoy the sunlight and how lively the world became in its wonderful rays. However, something was just much more enchanting about the night. It was mysterious, calming, beautiful… Just anything she could ever want it to be. It was the peace and silence she craved for, and it’s why she always made it a point to enjoy moments like this as much as possible.
However, now in this moment - wasn’t what she ever was expecting.
Golden eyes with white centers glanced up at the infamous redhead hacker, her expression revealing her curiosity with a hint of a playful smile on her face as she watched him. Trying to restrain her giggles of joy as the two danced in the garden alone, knowing full and well if they were caught - they’d be so done for. Never would she ever thought she’d be dancing in the area like this with someone she had grown close too, gone through so much with..
But yet here they were..
It was surprising to her.. Not only because she was sharing this silly moment with someone she’d never expect to get close too - it was also because she allowed herself to have this. To have this moment! It was against the rules to stay up so late but Mary was still breaking them regardless. It made her feel a little guilty, of course, but the amount of warmth and joy that swelled her heart at this moment she shared with Seven seemed far too much that it merely numbed the pain.
What also added to the surprise, was just how enjoyable it was! It all started out as a joke, the two of them ironically meeting each other in the garden where Seven continued as his cheeky and sly self, which amusing enough. Only to later ask her to dance - leading them into this moment. The two enjoying the embrace of the other as they moved around the garden, Mary happily following Seven’s lead as they twirled and swung and twisted each other around.
It was.. amazing.
It only seemed to grow more and more genuine as the minutes passed. The raven didn’t understand if it was just the moonlight or what - but it all seemed to grow more romantic. Special love and attention blooming between the two as they seemed to get lost in the moment, enjoying each other’s company far more than expected.
It seemed perfect.. correct.
It felt - to at least Mary - this is how it should be, in a way. To be with him, in his arms. Having moments like this..
It felt right…

Resting her head against Seven’s chest, she gently shut her eyes. Her playful grins and mischevious looks becoming something gentle, softer for a few minutes as she truthfully let her guards down for Seven. Allowing them to lean upon each other. It saddened her knowing that they’d soon have to depart after all of this was over, to go back to somewhat strict demands with very little time to speak in friendlier terms.. but it was just how it was.
Until the world truly became a paradise, this is all they could really hope for… moments like this.
Mary was about to pull away, to finish the dance they started - only to halt once Seven had reached out and gently placed a hand on her cheek. Starling the raven enough to awaken her, allowing golden hues to meet golden hues. Her face quickly igniting into a blaze as seven leaned in, closing the gap between both of them.
“I’ve been lost for so long..
That I’ve eventually given up on trying to save myself.”

The message was the same it has always been yet tonight the black and white against the small, illuminated screen felt even more hollow than usual. His heart felt so lonely ever since she left. How could any of this be real? It still felt like Rika was with him, especially with proof like this that she existed. She was here. Her hands sent this message to him. He could hear her voice speaking those same words in his head. He could swear that he caught the illusion of her scent if he was lost in thought long enough. Why could it feel so much as if she was there yet there he was looking around his room without seeing the face he missed so much? Why did it always hurt so much for him yet no one else could understand how he felt? His eyes pleaded with the text to make it so she would respond if he called at that moment, but he didn’t have the heart to try; knowing he would be met with her voicemail was enough to have tears stream down Yoosung’s face.
“Ri-i-ika……” He choked out her name in between sobs. Why did she have to go? Why couldn’t she still be here? She was so real and bright and everything he wished he could be. Nothing was impossible with her by his side always encouraging him, but with her death went the light that guided him through life. It was impossible to move on, to forget, and to accept that she would never come back.
“Rika… I-I…” Blurred vision solemnly gazed at his phone and a weak smile pulled at the corners of his mouth. “You’re looking down at me, right? You’re out there somewhere maybe… I promise I’ll…. I’ll always try and make you proud…” Yoosung couldn’t battle the threat of a breakdown any longer and with a heavy heart the tears freely flowed.
That’s all that covered the night sky outside the garden’s glass roof. A beautiful array of them that seemed to branch out elsewhere, somewhere probably far away from where she could ever possibly reach. And while she was still happy with what she could see - that didn’t make her any less of curious.
It made her wonder what else could possibly be outside there, outside of mint eye’s protective walls..
It had been so long she had removed herself from Mint Eye afterall, and while she still loved and adored the people who kept her close and brought her up from the hell life had thrown at her -
It.. felt strange to be here as well.. Almost as if it was wrong to be here in a way.
Which.. confused her too…
Her thoughts were interrupted as her smaller body tensed, the raven feeling her company beside her shift which caught her attention. Golden eyes with white centers widening for a brief moment as she turned to a familiar but also iconic redhead at her side. Her heartbeat noticeably getting louder as she saw him stretch out, Her defender of justice yawning as it was fairly late after all.
You could tell upon his face that he was clearly exhausted, most likely coming from the hard work he dealt with throughout the day. The raven couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty for him as he did so, as she knew the reason he was being worked so hard and here was because of her..
It felt as if it had been ages ago since she had broken up with Saeran and had focused on moving on - but .. sadly Seven was still suffering from it all despite the time that had passed. He was being worked to death - and that was most likely due for Saeran’s temper he was forced out on Seven..
It made her feel so guilty. Mary was obviously thankful as well, but Seven would have never gotten involved and would be suffering if she was to never include him in the first place. It also didn’t help that – her recovering heart called for him too. It missed him being around as much as he usually was at the times of old, to be somewhere of arms reach. It wanted her to take him – to be selfish, to make him her’s.. And she knew she could do it but - was she really ready? Had she moved on enough to know this wasn’t just her heart reaching out? Demanding for Seven as a replacement for Saeran as they were twin brothers?
Mary wanted to groan as the thought had come up once again after many.
However, instead - she frowned to herself. Knowing full and well that despite the annoying thought occurring again and again - it was right. It was asking the true question she wanted to genuinely know. Did she actually like Seven..? Or did she only like him because he looked like Saeran?
As Mary watched him, a rekindled part of herself gave her enough courage to suddenly reached out. Gently caressing Seven’s cheek as Mary turned to fully face him. Purposefully leaning in close in the process before finally meeting his lips, her own melting into the action without much thought.
The kiss never lasted very long, but what was made of it was something gentle and sweet. Something that was shy - or possibly scared of hurting him before Mary finally pulled back. Her heart racing as she looked down at Seven, her cheeks radiating as she watched him. Most likely for a reaction from him of some sort.. “Thank you for everything, Seven..”
