“No, it’s cool. Just let it ring,” Zach shook his head, glancing down at the phone in front of him, taking to his drink and finishing it. “You need another?”
“Nah, I’m good. But tell me, why are we ignoring phone calls now? Got someone you’re avoiding or something?”
“The fact that we got 7th pick is stiller utter bullshit,” Lena shook her head, taking a sip of her beer as eyes fell back on the screen. “You and I both know 4th should have been ours before we got hosed… Well I knew that. But even with that I’m still happy with our picks so because of that I’ll buy you your next drink. Just don’t get used to the charity.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, but I’m always down for free booze,” Addy said with a shrug. “But for real, I’m assuming you’re talking about some sort of sport? Or the worlds worst betting system?”
“So.. what you just asked for is actually a lot of work so what I’m thinking really suits you and I can really see it making your night is a nice cold beer. Great. Coming right up.”
“Ooooor you could just get me what I asked for? Seriously, I hate beer and tequila. As long as it doesn’t involve either one of those I’m game. Dealer’s choice.”
What is it about nighttime thoughts that make me feel even more crazy than I would while awake? Sometimes I end up thinking things like ‘In the future, everybody’s self-driving cars will drive slowly around in circles all day to avoid buying parking tickets.’ or ‘What does Oprah do with all that money?’ Or, my personal favorite, ‘Does the iceberg that sank the Titanic still exist?’ Am I the only one that this happens to?
