I just got my wisdom teeth (all 4) taken out this morning and mentioned that my lips are numb from the general anesthesia.

Que my friend (whom I was on call with) asking if that is “her given name or her drag name”.

Anyway General Anesthesia would wear a military uniform and claim to “make your lips numb” (with kisses).

I would draw her if not for the ow :(

had the realization just now of just how many of the cast in starfleet academy have character arcs about being unwilling to let people in due to their past hurts. it's a common character motivation obviously, but here it's like... almost every character. it's a theme. this show is on a macro scale about the federation learning to be kind again, and about becoming something that can be trusted again, but it's also about all the characters on an interpersonal level learning to let themselves love and trust and be loved and trusted again. it openly acknowledges the reasons why one might not, it holds the hurt and pain that you open yourself up to when you let yourself love, and it says to do it anyway.
