I want more avatar content outside of Aang.
I know I’m probably going to get hate for saying this, but I’m honestly a bit tired of Aang getting all the movies, shows, and live action adaptations.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Aang. And Korra is actually my favourite Avatar, so I’d be happy to see her get another movie too. But what about Kyoshi? Yangchen? Kuruk? Wan?
There are so many past Avatars with incredible stories to adapt on screen. I know some of them have novels, but reading a book just isn’t the same as seeing their stories brought to life through animation.
I just finished the Kyoshi novels, and they made me want more. Even if they didn’t adapt the books directly, there’s so much room to expand on in her story. She lived for over 200 years. There are other adventures and untold moments they could explore.
The Avatar universe has so much potential beyond Aang. They could keep introducing “new” Avatars from the past and give each of them their own stories.
I’m excited that Pavi is coming soon, but I can’t help feeling like Aang gets the majority of the attention simply because Atla came first. I’d love to see the franchise explore the Avatar world as a whole instead of constantly returning to the same character.
It gets boring after a while.
Totally need more Avatar
