I yell at the sky, challenging the old gods for their mistakes. “It’s impossible.” They say. “Then re-write yesterday!” I demand. They look at each other and shake their heads. My gaze is cold as ice. I turn to the one who moved the cosmos to make room for me. “I am your creation, you molded me from the barest stars in the corners of the universe. And now I am bigger than you. Now I mold you to my desires.” The old god looks at me in empathy, “but it simply can’t be done.”

“Why?” I demand, thunder and liquid memory behind my voice. “You’re so tall, there’s no way we could make you a bigger girlfriend.”

“Nay!” I shout, my dreams of being the little spoon never dying.
