I am pleased and honored to announce that one of my Top Fuel photographs has been chosen for the American Photography 34 online annual this year! The winning photo was from the NHRA: Championship Drag Racing Northwest Nationals in Kent, WA last August. The crew chief is inches away from the nitromethane fueled dragster as the driver does his burnout. I love how one side of headers is belching flames, the other unburned fuel. It was photographed with a Canon USA EOS-1D X MkII and Canon 600mm F/4L IS II USM telephoto lens.
