Hazel's Quite Vigil
High above the quiet room, Hazel claims her throne, perched atop a stack of stories as if the house were all her own. Her bright eyes catch some secret the rest of us can't see, perhaps a bird, perhaps the wind... or just a leaf teasing a curious kitty...
Somehow Hazel made it to the top of my bookshelf... and the thing is a good seven feet tall! She's sitting up there staring out the window, apparently deciding the regular cat-level view just wasn't good enough. I still have no idea how she got up there. Lol!
