Replica of Lafayette's Hermione to Dock In Annapolis In June 2015

In 1780 L'Hermione brought the Marquis de Lafayette to America with a promise of French aid against the British. 225 years later a replica of Hermione will cross the Atlantic. 18 years after the build commenced in Rochefort, France the ship will be making her maiden crossing this year and stopping in many ports along the way, including Annapolis.

Time-Lapse: USCG Barque Eagle Comes Ashore At Curtis Bay Coast Guard Yard

Watch the USCG Barque Eagle come out of the water at the Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD. She's undergoing $7M worth of renovations over this and the next three winters. After her arrival in Curtis Bay she was joined by the USS Constellation which then took the title of "oldest in the yard". The work on Eagle seems to cover almost every portion of the vessel while the work on the Constellation is focused on repairing a 4000 square-foot section of her wooden hull. This video was taken by three cameras over a 10-hour period:
