Do yall have an approximate date for when people will find out what/if they are submitting art for it?

For contributors, we are closing sign ups on the 15th and sending out invites to the zine project discord server by the 17th of Feb to the email used on the form.

As of now we have 35 sign ups, and every person who signed up will be able to do their desired pitch! There has been very little overlap in ideas!

This project is planned to be very chill- if you decide you want to change up your piece from your pitch? Totally fine! If you finish early and want to do a second one? Also totally fine!

The server itself will have full schedules for timelines of submissions and check-ins - if you’ve never been part of a zine project before, it goes a little like this: there will be a check in once a month to submit progress for around 4 months, with the final check in being your completed project. At this point all submissions will be formatted together into a “book” (a digital PDF that reads like a book) which can be read as-is or then sent to be printed in small batches based on preorders to cover cost of printing. (Same with any physical merch contributors wind up designing - small batches based on preorders to cover costs.)

(My goal is that anyone who wants a physical copy of this project as a keepsake will be able to afford it - there will be no mark-up to cost)

All project work will be done while in the server so folks can share progress and ask for ideas / feedback from fellow fans of the podcast if they wish! The point of this project is to get fans together to do something fun as a group - so if you’ve already been working on a piece that’s totally fine! Just know that you’ll have a lot of fun once everyone is together to talk about what they’re working on!

But to very clearly answer the question: if you’ve signed up by filling out the application form: you’ve been accepted. If you signed up for multiple roles, you can do either or both!

Hopefully this wasn’t too long winded and helped answer any other questions that folks may have!

It has occurred to me now that the FAQ page I set up never published, so I’ll get that done later today!

If you are interested in writing something nonfiction for the zine would it be best to fill out the form as if it's an auxiliary piece or a writing piece?

You can fill the form as either! Just under the section for “specific pitch ideas” just specify it to be a non-fiction piece!

We will be sorting contributors manually so we will figure it out no matter how it’s submitted!

Updates and some FAQ answers!

We are already over 20 sign ups, thank you for the interest so far!

As of now the scope of the project based on interest check:

This will be a W.BG only zine.

There will be no strict theme! So long as you keep it “in universe” you can do whatever you like! Our plan is to include as many different characters and scenes as possible. Canon ships are all welcome!

We’ve had mostly artist sign-ups so far, more writing options would be great! Reminder that we’re accepting fiction as well as non-fiction for this project! (Meaning you can get meta and write an essay on the music in the show if you want!)

We want to be as clear as possible as to what this project will entail, but since we want to leave it open to anyone doing anything it’s hard to nail down! If you have any direct questions on what will be welcome we will be happy to answer!

As of now, every person who’s signed up will be making it into the project - we estimate every person who signs up will be accepted to at least 1 role.

We’re still looking for moderators! There’s been a lot of interest but not a lot of applications! The more mods we have the more people can join as well!

The zine itself is planned as a digital PDF with the opportunity to be made physical with both digital and physical merch options. All projects led by us go as close to “at cost of production” as possible.

There will be no profits made off of this - it’s entirely for the love of the fandom!
