& They are probably far from accurate because I am forgetting what they look like. I close my eyes and try to picture the bridge of their nose, their expression, where the shadow would fall on their cheekbone, & I don’t know why it’s all so blurred now. I’ve always been good at picturing things, people, events, objects.. I look at each finished drawing and don’t recognise what’s looking back at me. Maybe in a subconscious way i don’t want to remember, my head is preserving itself for its own sanity. Years ago in my memory bank it was so distinctive. Good memories and clips are redacted from being fleshed out in my mind. Defense mechanism but at what cost.

I don’t cross reference these drawings either and don’t want to see . Some things are better off as a concept
