This anime series is *great* but unless you’re a US Netflix subscriber you’ll never see it: “Beastars” (dumb name) - so you’ll have to go to Kissanime.ru or Gogoanime to see it. Great characters (Legosi the gray wolf here has an awesome personality) and a really...different...take on the usual Japanese high-school slice-of-life thing played out against a society that has Carnivores and Herbivores peacefully coexisting at every level. Mostly. Legosi here develops an infatuation with a bunny girl...but what drives it? Is the attraction purely traditional predator-prey? The continuous rubber “Soucy” type track on these late Canadian M113A3s (like the WWII Halftrack track) makes for a really smooth ride compared to the old T130 or Diehl steel segmented track, though if you lose a track with this stuff you’re not just replacing a broken segment with a spare link or two so...tradeoffs. . . My...cockpit...in the M113A3. You’ll notice almost like an aircraft style control yoke in this type vs. the older two-lever tiller bar steering in the older models (like a bulldozer has) and the M548. This steering is a lot more responsive than the older style. Meh. This sucks. 52. I worked on ‘Jeremiah’ which starred Luke Perry. One day we’re up in Britannia Beach and I have a stunt day in the 8-whl LAV/ armoured tank thing from work. They filled up the whole area behind me in the hull with 20 lb barbecue propane tanks and some FX guys, with huge furnace-duct type hoses running behind my head and out to flame bars outside on the deck. Anyway...I smelled propane but was told it was just because some valved when they were filling it...but nope...as I’m driving the stunt and running over fruit carts and crap in a narrow alley between two buildings...FWOOSH!...FX hits the switch to light the flamebars outside. And my peripheral vision catches a flash *inside* the vehicle behind me. I get out...kneel down by the back ramp fixing some clip or other - and Luke Perry walks by - touches the back of my neck - and says... “Dude. You got singed!” Yep. Gets me to go to FACS and sure enough...the propane leak ignited during the gag and sent a fireball right across the back of my neck. Anyway, Perry was always cool when I was on that show which was quite a lot at the time. It was supposed to restart in LA after the season shot in Vancouver (and key picture cars were shipped down in prep for that) but it never came about. I asked later on what happened but got some dismissive nonsense about ‘cast availability.’ Anyway...RIP Luke. Great statue out in front of some new buildings near where I live.
