JUST ANOTHER SIMS 2 QUICK START AND ESSENTIAL MODS MASTERPOST
Since the ENTIRE game just got released for free on origin… might as well put this together! This is a list of what I think are essential mods for any starting Sims 2 player. I didn’t want someone to have to download 500 different packages for the game to be “optimized”, and I didn’t want a bunch of samurai ninja sword wielding spongebob clones, so this list comprises of mods that visually match the game (known as Maxis Match) or mods that enhance gameplay significantly. Have no idea how to download or install mods? Click here.
Feel free to pick and choose!! But please make sure to get some of the fixes from More Awesome Than You!’s Hack Directory. Please, so you don’t corrupt your game.

Seriously EA? I had given up some time ago in emptying this folder because you keep filling it all up again… I know exactly which content I want to buy or not, and I certainly do not want you to make my game lag more than it is supposed to. So I declare war!

After downloading tons of houses, I've finally moved them to another house.
There's one thing that I love about seasons is that you get puddles of water with leavesss after raining!

It's halloween soon. They had a date at the festival.

They didn't have a fireplace in their old house so Remus is trying it out and warming his butt here.
Remus is a good papa. He harvested a few pumpkins for his sons and himself to craft.
I'm planning to put the crafted pumpkins on the pavement like
(It's actually raining here but Remus finds it more romantic to play the guitar in the rain...)

Oh. P.S. And I like how they look so angry to reject a date from random sims. Have I mentioned that Remus has only gone out with Sirius that he's earned the reputation of "eternally faithful"?
When I saw that University included the ability to lock certain sims out of different rooms I got excited. I’ve been wanting to build a duplex that actually was a two family home for a while now, and finally I could make it work! This home is split right down the middle. There are identical floor plans on both sides of the home, with 3br/3baths each. Both have separate entry into separate backyards. I built the home as a residential lot, but I’m sure it would work as an apartment lot just as well if anyone wanted to change the lot type. Personally I just used the new door locking system to keep the two families out of each others space.
Uses all expansions, but is CC/store content/stuff pack free
i don't even remember what remus was side eyeing. i think it was one of the dogs.

everyone loves the trampoline. zombies come to trampoline on the full moon and it's very rude because they won't leave in the morning.
THIS PICTURE IS ONLY BEING INCLUDED BECAUSE THE DOGS CAME UPSTAIRS AND PATIENTLY STOOD BY THE BED UNTIL THEY WERE DONE FUCKING AND LEFT. WHAT THE HELL, DOGS. (on a somewhat related note, gardening always makes remus horny. he has a maxed out gardening skill and whenever he's working on his plants, he gets a woo-hoo with sirius wish and i die laughing every time)

dolce and max had a puppy! his name is spike :D after the dogs had a baby, remus decided he wanted one too, so they adopted a little girl named sophie!
and ollie aged up to teenagerhood
and he loves his baby sister very much

and now he's too old to use it which is probably the greatest tragedy of them all.
on the upside, he is now old enough to have his papa teach him how to drive!
OH i forgot to mention that sirius and remus are basically an adventurer/archaeologist duo and they have a museum in their basement and houses in egypt and china (but not france yet because france glitched on me when i sent them there and wouldn't let them come home and i had a teeny tiny heart attack about losing their game and ollie saved the day and managed to call a cab from his laptop IDER PUTTING IT IN HIS WALKING AROUND INVENTORY, so i'm a little scared to send them back there). but anyways, i don't have pictures of their adventures because it's hard enough keeping locals from flirting with them and making sure three people eat and don't catch fire from the stupid traps in the tombs I'M SORRY i'll try harder to document future adventures.

ollie goes on a date with that sleepy sleepy boy (a mr. teddy weasley for those curious shh they're not related in the game and he's only a fairy because i hadn't made one yet and i wanted to see what fairy shenanigans he and his mama could get up to (charlie is a werewolf i hadn't made one of those either)) and a deer hops past and shoots me a judgmental look for taking pictures during their date. sorry, deer.
after they go to the movies, they go back to the lupin black home and
teddy takes a nap in a sarcophagus like a sensible human being. at least he picked the nice one.
but afterwards, he felt nice and refreshed and agreed to go steady with ollie
the dogs are very proud (I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ALWAYS COME RUNNING WHEN PEOPLE START KISSING OR HAVING SEX. THEY HAVE A PAIR OF WEIRD DOGS)
episode 2 will have more wolfstar, i promise and will feature their new home down the street which is much nicer and has more space!
