Unintended angels
How beautiful is it that you can sometimes make a difference in someone's life without realizing it yourself?
For example, as a photographer, whenever I meet up with people, I usually bring my camera with me. I take some photo’s whenever I see a beautiful moment. Off the cut, without really thinking about it.
Not suspecting anything, I then send those images to them afterwards. And then later it turns out that those photos are some of their most valuable images or memories.
Sometimes only years later. A portrait of a beloved pet that has since passed away. A spontaneous, candid photo of someone together with their partner, who later passed away. Because for me it goes so casually and effortlessly, that I don’t even think about it, I often don’t realize what meaning those kinds of things can have for people. How valuable such a gesture can be for someone else. I feel like we often underestimate our impact.
But I think it’s such a lovely thought; that we can be little angels for others, without realizing it ourselves 💖

Slow and quiet summer moments in the Dutch countryside | the Netherlands
Some beauty and calm that caught my eye the past month. An early morning walk along a foggy river with a blood red sunrise, spending the Summer Solstice sitting in a beautiful large willow tree at one of my favourite places surrounding this small town, and lots of gorgeous golden hour moments.
Gardening attempts to keep the slugs and snails away from the strawberries, and trying out David’s new soil block press, which works amazing for growing seedlings. We sowed a lot of different bean species and they’re already starting to cover all the garden walls now, I swear you can watch them grow by the minute.
And some wild encounters with adorable highland cattle calves annoying their mom, a sneaky hedgehog helping us out in our garden, a rare hummingbird hawk-moth, and a bunch of panicky geese.

Spring on an old Dutch countryside farm | The Netherlands
Well hello, it’s been a while 🌼 It’s been an intense year, so I’ve been laying low and taking things easy. I haven’t been online much and didn’t feel like filming much.
But when I went to visit this farm again, my stay did me so good that it made me feel inspired again to share the beauty I see in things with you.
One of my favourite places and two of my favourite people on this planet. You might recognize this place from an older video in which I share how this special place and the two wonderful souls living here crossed my path. I’ll link to it in the description.
I hope you’re enjoying Spring, and I’m wishing you lots of love!

Wolf launches vicious and merciless attack...on a camera
Voyageurs Wolf Project:
Don’t be deceived! This wolf used its good looks and cute behavior to move in close, and then just when its victim had let down its guard, the wolf launched a vicious and merciless attack. Luckily, this victim is a survivor and only sustained some flesh wounds...nothing a little bit of plastic surgery can’t fix.

Unique footage! This pack of 11 wolves appeared in front of a wildlife camera in the Southwest Veluwe in the Netherlands last week. These recordings are made with fixed cameras that are triggered by movement.
