Building upon the modern 5900 Gijin architecture, the new Model 5984 was designed to achieve a balanced middle ground between Model 4646's self-driven intellect and 4649's emotional reactivity. Following the destruction of Model 4649, the J-Circuit was redesigned into an external drive disguised as a mundane object. Similarly to the Heart-Circuit safeguard, the new J-Drive could only recieve power if Model 5984's emotional circuits were synchronous with the drive's parameters.
The last of Dr Gepetto's creations, model 5984 would push his theories on Gijin individuality to the utmost limits, and would go on to play a key role in the Blueland Revolution and the decline of the Siliconian Age.
Retreating from the hyper-autonomy of 4646, the Model 4649 Gijin was designed with a childlike mental and emotional capacity in mind. Though more temperamental than the considerate 4646, Model 4649's greater inclination towards feeling rather than thinking further ensured the model's behaviour would remain grounded in the present reality rather than get lost in hypothetical logic loops. In addition, the model's simpler mentality would eliminate the risk of significant subterfuge should deviation occur.
Model 4649 was furthermore equipped with the new J-Circuit, a potent and highly secretive technology developed by Dr. Gepetto following the failure of Model 4646.
To avoid a repeat of the tragedy of Model 4646's X-Circuit, Model 4649's J-Circuit was designed with an inherent safeguard, such that it could not even recieve power if any of the surrounding 7 Heart Circuits were not operative.

Love of Sport
Adventurous Spirit
Courageous Soul
Make Others Happy
Sometimes You Have to Fight
Love for Others
These seven circuits ensured that the J-Circuit could not be activated unless the owner was in possession of qualities that would see it used for good.
Model 4649 was an astounding success, exceeding all expectations in development of the seven Heart Circuits, and demonstrating the first field test of the mysterious J-Circuit in the destruction of the battleship Graf-Shupe.
Model 4649 played a key role in the proliferation of Gijin-sympathetic sentiment throughout the Corlo Kingdom, which would eventually become the first nation in modern history to instate Gijin citizenship.
The Model 4646 Gijin was to be Dr Gepetto's magnum opus. More versatile and lifelike than any Gijin before, it was nearly indistinguishable from a human in appearance and capacity.
Rather than having a preset array of parameters, the Model 4646 posessed dynamic capabilities that would develop and grow along with its knowledge and training, just as a real human. And crowning this living nature was the revolutionary X-Circuit. Unlike the passive Gijin of the past, the X-Circuit provided the Model 4646 with the drive to change both itself and the world around it; the ability to define and develop its own parameters.
The revolutionary model was a staggering success. Model 4646 exceeded all expectations and quickly grew to be an intelligent and insightful individual who would gently aid humans with all manner of problems. However, tragedy struck, and Model 4646 was vandalized by a group that feared the Gijin that blurred the line between man and machine. Though the unit's body was repaired, delicate heart and brain circuits that governed its emotional and interpersonal sense sustained critical damage, and Model 4646 began to exhibit deviant behaviour.
The X-Circuit continued to fuel Model 4646's desire for change, but without the external awareness of its sensory circuits, the unit's motivation now only responded to personal desires, and its reasoning began to spiral down a rabbit hole of self-centered obsession with controlling its surroundings, seeking the ability to effect any desired change at will.
After Model 4646 finally broke the fundamental Gijin Pacifism Protocol by attacking a human, Dr Gepetto was forced to decommision the unit. However, with its superior intellect and creativity, Model 4646 evaded capture, and vanished from human society...
best villain design
the ending they never got
it's a shame how rushed and incomplete WPJ2 was compared to the first game, but despite that it still contains more than enough for me to imagine what might've been
