easier to pretend nothing is wrong if you donāt talk to anyone
You thought I was done with England? Nah. Iāll be in the library at University of Manchester from September 2018 - September 2019
So I havenāt posted on this blog in what feels like a lifetime but just a quick update; your girls going to be working at Disney
I just learned that some websites use cookies to adjust prices. That is, if you visit a certain website a lot the price will increase.
You can tell if thatās the case by checking the same web page on a different browser if you have a different number of stored cookies for that site. I checked something on Chegg and it was $14.95 on Chrome, $19.95 on Firefox, and $16.95 on Safari.
The fix? Clear your cookies for that website.
Reblog, save a wallet.
Plane tickets almost always do this!
PLANE TICKETS DO THIS ALL THE DAMN TIMEĀ
When youāre looking for plane tickets and waiting for prices to drop, ALWAYS clear your cookies beforehand and switch between browsers. A friend of mine was looking for a flight and getting prices that were the CHEAPEST at $800-1000, I sent her a link for a round trip that was like $495, and it read as $900 on her computer because she had been hounding the airline site.Ā
alternatively: avoid all this headache by using incognito when shopping for plane tickets, text books, etc
Hotel rooms are notorious for this, as well. Just like, go on incognito mode to look at these sites, saves u a lot of time & hassle.
Bruh I aināt never know dis thank you man
1. Do not fear your body for the things it lacks. 2. Treat yourself the way you would treat someone you love. 3. āNoā means no, donāt let anyone else tell you otherwise. 4. Read. It will help you; everywhere. 5. Tell them you like them, itāll kill you if you donāt. 6. Smile. 7. Your period is natural, do not apologize. 8. Look up things you do not understand. 9. Remember to give the amount you know you will be getting back. 10. Clothes arenāt an obligation but bare your flesh for those who love your bones.

I truly should write about my first full day in Berlin right now but I'm so so tired that I can't. It was a wonderful and I learned so so much and saw so much. I promise to write about it later when I have time āš¼ļø
So Iām sharing my room with two other girls on my tour and theyāre both so nice! One is Australian and is like my fashion and coolness goals. The other is from Canada but she was born in Colombia and is currently working in France, and she and I get along really well! I think the three of us could possibly become good friends in the next few days.
As a tour we met up for a logistics meeting going over paperwork and the semantics of the tour and I met a few people there. Thereās people from all over the world and itās really cool to think that at the end of this I will have made new friendships.
We then went out to dinner in Berlin and mostly just talked and hung out. Most of us were dead tired from traveling or being sick or both. The tour guides decided to take us on a quick drive around the city before going back to the hotel and we saw the Reichstag.
In terms of doing things, I didnāt do much sight seeing but I know that tomorrow is going to be a whirlwind of activity so Iām going to sleep soon and getting a good nights sleep. Thank god for day lights savings time giving us an extra hour because I will definitely need it.
Iāve made it to Berlin!
Itās a miracle I made it to my hotel really.
The flight from Norwich to Amsterdam was 45 minutes and before I even had the chance to think about falling asleep, we were already landing.
The layover in Amsterdam felt like it took forever. I stupidly decided to not get Starbucks (Iām still trying to figure out why), but I got to recharge my phone.
The flight from Amsterdam to Berlin was quick, only 55 minutes long, but I fell asleep so quickly.
The one thing that did kind of confuse me though was that my passport wasnāt checked when I walked out into the terminal. I literally just walked out into Berlin.
Contiki told us what was the best way to get to our hotel from the airport was, and luckily it was a quick bus ride. Though my bus did almost get into an accident and the bus driver closed the doors before I could get off, and then looked annoyed when I protested.
But Iām finally at my hotel and Iām going to relax and maybe nap before the tour gets officially started at 5!
Now that Iām here, Iām still nervous BUT Iām definitely more excited because from here until the end, someone else will be guiding me and I wonāt have to freak out about doing it on my own. Plus Iāll have people around me to do it with.
That is, until I have to get to the airport in Prague
The airport is coming alive. There are people waiting around. Security is still not open.
Me while I wait for security to open #help
Okay so... Today I embark on my first international solo journey. I'm so scared. I booked a tour through Contiki tours going to Berlin and Prague and while I'm really excited to see these new places and meet the people I'm going to be traveling with, I'm also really nervous and afraid. Afraid of what? Well I literally have no idea. I think it's because it's my first real trip alone. My anxious and constantly worrying mind keeps thinking of things that can go wrong. But it's not even serious things. I'm not worried about the fact that if I get Taken, my father isn't Liam Neeson so I will not be saved. It's stupid and ridiculous stuff like "what if they make me throw away my liquids? My face wash is prescription, I can't throw that away" and "what if I don't get enough cash" and "what if I can't find the hotel we're meeting at?(though, let's be honest, that's a legitimate worry)" and "what if it turns out that the flight I paid for never went through and they don't let me on the plane" Also, it's 4:30 am and I'm sitting here, tired, anxious, and scared. Except, good news, I did get my boarding pass, which means I did pay for my flight. Weird things about Norwich International Airport, I had to pay £10 for "Airport Development Fees" which was something new to deal with. Also my flight boards in an hour, and security isn't even open? I'm confused. I decided that with this trip I would write every single night and post it up, so it will literally be an "as it happens" experience. Whoever is reading, you'll experience, as I experience.
