If you have a problem with me. Tell me. But do it civilly. I am always open for debating shit, to learning and be better- But if I go through your comment, post, dm, etc. And provide counterpoints, and you respond by ignoring them and just repeating yourself, or you respond by talking down to me as if I am below you- Or if you treat me like an uneducated child and not the grown ass adult that I am. Do not expect my kindness to continue.
I will still listen if you choose to be a decent fucking person and actually debunk my counterpoints and provide proof against them- Because I do genuinely give a fuck. But you best come prepared to have a CIVIL and CALM conversation about whatever the issue is. I have no patience for people who make assumptions and attack calm people without decency. I understand that a lot of people are fucking garbage, that sometimes you gotta get mean for them to listen. But you do not need to do that with me, and if you do I will shut down. And that will not help anyone.
The class difference here is so stark. It's not that Sophie has never seen a chandelier before. It's that she's never had time to look.
Benedict has all the time in the world and it's never occurred to him to look up because opulence and the time in which to enjoy it is a given in his life. For Sophie, time is a resource that is both finite and comes with strings attached. She works for a living and does not have permission to linger.
The upper class don't just have material wealth, they have the richness of time. The most valuable resource there is. And that moment for Sophie was finally having the ability to stop and look.
before the toxic season three polin fans start blabbering about benedict’s mistress offer to sophie and comparing his confession to colin’s (they’re already buzzing on twitter regarding the difference between colin’s proposal and benedict’s) *biggest eye roll*
sophie baek is a maid. that distinction is not cosmetic, it is the foundation of her entire story. comparing her to penelope ignores the central class divide that defines benedict and sophie’s relationship. penelope is from a reputable family. she is a known, present member of the ton. she is a debutante. ON TOP OF THAT ELOISE’S DEAR BEST FRIEND because of that, colin can bring her through the front door of bridgerton house without any bloody hesitation. he can present her directly to his mother. and violet, the family, and society can accept that union with joy and pride. their love fits within the rules of the world they live in. its two privileged people coming together.
benedict and sophie do not get that luxury. benedict cannot bring sophie through the front door. that is not a minor obstacle, it is the entire point of their story. sophie’s class is mountains lower than the bridgertons, and the ton will never accept her as his equal. their union will be whispered about, shamed, and resisted at every turn. loving sophie is not socially safe for benedict; it is a risk, a defiance, and a dream he is not supposed to be allowed. where colin’s love is sanctioned by society, benedict’s is fundamentally transgressive. penelope’s story is about being seen within the system. sophie’s is about surviving outside of it. collapsing those two dynamics flattens the stakes and erases what makes benedict and sophie tragic, radical, and powerful.
benedict is an aristocrat. his family is close to lady danbury who’s the queen’s closest confidant, his brother is a viscount, one sister is a duchess, another a countess, his sister in law is THE lady whistledown who controls the entire ton, to sophie, benedict is untouchable, an impossible dream. he feels unreal to her, like someone she should never even look at too closely. he’s almost like a prince in her eyes, and the idea of being involved with him any deeper terrifies her.
their love is not meant to be easy, public, or instantly accepted. it is meant to be impossible and defy the traditional society rules.
i love the idea of sophie getting to explore her sexuality. (because i’m a bi sophie truther 🙂↕️)
would it ever happen in canon? no. because that’s not the way the bridgerton world works. but thats what fandom is for.
she has never had or let herself have any experience before benedict.
like sophie accepts benedict, benedict would accept sophie instantly.
if she ever felt the want to explore what it would be like to be with a woman, he would support her. he would do anything in his power to make her feel comfortable.
it would never diminish how much she loves him, or how much he loves her. it’s just something she never had the chance to figure out for herself.
im also hearing a lot of “femmes can hit their butches!!!” from diehard c*itvi lovers— i dont think they ever acknowledge that violence against butches is also violence against women 😪💧💧💧💧 wallahi ALL c*itvi fans need to call their uber 🚗🚗
WTFFFF whats even the joke?? Who do they believe they’re punching back at with a joke like that??
This is why I proceed to be SOOOO FUCKING ANNOYING ABOUT BEING ANTI CAITVIII IDCCC I REALLY DON’TTTT
No fr tho because wdym femmes can hit their butches? Like first off- No- That is still violence against women- But also that is getting real close to saying women can hit their partners who are men. WHICH IS ALSO ABUSE AND JUST AS BAD AS MEN HITTING THEIR WOMEN PARTNERS! How about NO ONE is allowed to hit their partners regardless of sex and or gender??? How about we stop acting as if domestic fucking violence is acceptable under certain circumstances wtf?? Ca*tVi shippers are fucking disgusting...
And if I said the writers put Ekko in that alternate universe so he wouldn’t be relevant to the plot when KKKait was gassing the lanes I woulda been called crazy!!!! 😭😭😭😭 Like girl you would not believe how PISSED he would be
Yes! Exactltly! You'd be right, because the firelights as a whole are revolutionary figures in Arcane, they didn't want them playing a big part during the entire season or them going against Caitlyn's facist regime because it would be admitting that Caitlyn is a horrible person🫥
Guys I just had a horrid reminder as I started rewatching Ginny & Georgia again...
We've all been so worried about who's fucking kid it's gonna be- WE COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT WHAT THE HELL SHE'S GONNA NAME THEM😭
Ginny is 100% CORRECT on that you can NOT name a kid fucking MASSACHUSETTS or WELLSBURY! Like I could see those being a last-MAYBE EVEN A MIDDLE-name... But a FIRST NAME? If I came across someone named either of those things as a FIRST name, I would hunt they parents down and shoot 'em dead. And if they already dead then I'd be bringin' them back just to kill 'em off again.
Sometimes I think about Omar Najam playing Prince Andhera and getting a million messages like "OMG thank you king for this Autistic rep" and Omar being like "wow fam I love you your headcanons are all valid but I just played Andhera as a regular guy, like me" and then getting diagnosed a few months later.
I finally got Dropout again and am rewatching A Court of Fey & Flowers- Which was also a mistake to do during Pride Month and with everything going on in my life rn; especially watching the Adventuring Party episodes as well this time. Can't break yet but hearing Oscar & Aabria talk about Rue's 'coming out' & the importance of the portrayal of intersectionality and being a minority/multiple minorities and holding back those parts of yourself and be 'perfect' so as to be accepted into spaces you itherwise wouldn't be able to get into in the mere hope that maybe one day you can reveal your true self completely and be accepted then too... That shit hurt so much-
I have finally finished the damn thing- I bought it three-odd years ago and had made it not even half way through it by the beginning of this year- I restarted it MAYBE a little over a month ago and have just finished it as I must give the copy I bought for my love the next-and likely last-time I see him properly. I have too much going on, especially regarding my love... So I am unable to breakdown into tears, I must hold myself together for the next two or so months (We are supposed to be moving around the end of July)-
So I am unable to properly mourn for the history (While I am aware and do acknowledge that TSOA is a fictional retelling of Achilles & Patroclus' story, their relationship and love is real nonetheless and felt much too sharply inside of my mirrores heart and spirit. I know most of you fucks do not believe the stories of Ancient Greece to be actual history, do not believe in the gods and demi-gods and 'fanciful' stories of "heroes"- And while you are free to believe as you wish, that belief is not welcome here in our space and blog so be respectful and keep it to yourself).
But I can feel that sharp, piercing, aching emptiness of grief in my chest. The welling of saliva in my maw and choked air in my throat... It being Pride Month makes the sting all the more sour, especially as I was (oh so kindly- /sar) reminded by a Google news notification that my state has decreed that June is 'Nuclear Family Month' and not Pride month just this morning.
Suffice it to say I wish to rip flesh from bone with hands and teeth... I wish to go to my childhood home and take it back from the bastard who lives there currently- And above all I wish to rest there once more. Though I know I will not be allowed that. Much less have my love be there with me... I can not mourn nor grieve yet and I hate it.

Spoiler for Helluva Boss - Season 2 Episode 12: Sinsmas and all previous episodes of the show.
I noticed something during the Sinsmas episode...
...
It happens during a FULL MOON.
Look, I understand that whoever chose this meant to make the scene more romantic by adding the symbol of their relationship, but WE ALREADY ESTABLISHED THAT THE FULL MOON ARRANGEMENT WAS BAD.
It was EXPLICITLY told to us that the arrangement was a BAD thing during the Full Moon episode while Stolas tried (emphasis on tried) to apologize to Blitzø for it. For me, the full moon represents how toxic and abusive their "relationship" was (and still is, but let's pretend it's better for the sake of my argument).
And yes, I do believe it was intentional. It isn't the first time that they make details for Stolitz like that. We got Stolas and Blitzø's entire text history on Western Energy, so I don't think they are past making them dance beneath a full moon.
But you know why it makes me so angry?
BECAUSE THE NEW MOON EXISTS.
The new moon would have shown that the crew is actually trying to make a change in how Stolitz is portrayed and how they are trying to make the ship better.
The writers are trying to make it seem like Stolitz is on a new leaf, that they are leaving the horrible (and abusive) start of their "relationship" behind and growing both as people and as a couple, BUT THEY CAN'T BOTHER TO CHANGE THE MOON TO FIT THEIR CHARACTERS' "GROWTH".
But they didn't.
Because they don't BELIEVE there's anything wrong with how their "relationship" started, even though they KNOW it.
I know it is a small detail, but those are what show the true nature of any media, and this one really didn't sit right with me.
(Screenshot from the Full Moon episode to prove it was indeed the full moon in the first image.)
Person at top of screenshot is someone different to the one at the bottom.
Yet another case of US defaultism. Just because it’s not in the DSM doesn’t mean it isn’t a medically recognised disorder.
The ICD, where Partial DID is found, is a valid diagnostic manual. It is literally made by the World Health Organisation. WHO is most widely regarded as the foremost global authority on public health. It is generally a trusted and credible source.
Not to mention that Partial DID also has its own unique criteria separate to that of OSDD (although it would fall under OSDD technically if being diagnosed from the DSM).
Not everything has to be in the DSM in order to be a valid diagnosis.
I’ll never understand how the same fandom that victimizes and sympathizes with will and El, who are classic victims, turns around and calls Billy a villain.
He was abused by his dad. Constantly. That’s not up for debate. But because he didn’t react to trauma the “right way,” people act like he wasn’t a victim too.
And I always see “Well Jonathan was abused and he didn’t act like Billy.” Yeah. Because Jonathan had Joyce. Billy had no one. No support system. No safe parent. Different people survive abuse differently.
You can’t say Billy wasn’t redeemable when he literally sacrificed himself for El. That moment showed who he really was underneath the anger. A good person who was hurt and misunderstood.
I’m not excusing how he treated others. But I find it ridiculous how we only extend compassion to victims who act palatable. Trauma isn’t pretty, and “perfect victim” isn’t a real thing.
If you see me liking and/or reblogging BloodyMary posts it is in a platonic or maybe queer platonic way, not romantic and or sexual way at all. I'm not saying anyone who ships them in those ways are wrong; it is a-okay! But I hc Ryland as aromantic as well as grey-sexual, and Simon as aroace- So if I reblog smth just know that I see them as friends.
rocky's crew dying from radiation exposure, something humans go to great lengths to prevent and are very scared of and grace's crew dying in their "sleep" with nobody watching, something eridians go to great lengths to prevent and are very scared of. cool book that is easy to read through your tears.
probably one of the reasons why i love phm so much is that it's a movie literally about the merits of platonic love and platonic soulmates. enough of these stupid romance movies gimme two characters whose friendship fucking saved both their planets, and who love each-other so fucking much that they would sacrifice themselves for the other over and over again. finally, a movie that shows that all love is powerful, not just that between romantic partners.
