“When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven’t.”
— Thomas Edison
“If you find your here and now intolerable and it makes you unhappy, you have three options: remove yourself from the situation, change it, or accept it totally.”
— Eckhart Tolle
“No thought has any power. You have power. And when you identify and believe in the thought you give power to the thought.”
— Mooji
“When you relate to thoughts obsessively, you are actually feeding them because thoughts need your attention to survive. Once you begin to pay attention to them and categorize them, then they become very powerful. You are feeding them energy because you are not seeing them as simple phenomena. If one tries to quiet them down, that is another way of feeding them.”
— Chogyam Trungpa
Just because you have observed your own limitations doesn’t mean you should buy into them.
Quite the opposite.
Limitations belong to the ego. Not to You.
When we do not expect anything we can be ourselves. That is our way, to live fully in each moment of time.

Anxiety often revolves around outcomes. Either there is something at stake we want to obtain (attachment) or something scary we wish to avoid (repulsion). The tension between attachment and repulsion irradiates our mood to produce a mutated sense of reality. We feel warped and diminished, perhaps even helpless. Such anxiety may disguise itself as being useful, many parasites do. If you want to be free from anxiety, first recognize its malignancy. Do not listen to the wisdom that anxiety offers you, everything it can say is filtered through fear. Contemplate the ideas, goals, or identities to which you are attached or from which you are repulsed. That is the fuel for this particular parasite. You must be willing to let go of what you fear and what you desire. Work hard, apply yourself, put in every effort to achieve what you will, but you must surrender to the results. The way of nature is both emphatic and yielding. Do what is in your power and adapt to the rest. Dismantle the circumstantial preconceptions that makes anxiety possible. You will know peace. And practicing daily meditation can’t hurt. :) #anxiety #spirituality #inspiration #consciousness #yoga #meditation #mindfulness #zen #buddhism
If you are willing to look at another person’s behavior toward you as a reflection of the state of their relationship with themselves rather than a statement about your value as a person, then you will, over a period of time, cease to react at all.
Yogi Bhajan (via fuckyeahyoga)
Everything is both simpler than we can imagine, and more complicated that we can conceive.
Goethe (via lazyyogi)
be so completely yourself that everyone else feels safe to be themselves too
Magical encounter while free falling.
Can you imagine being that bird? You see a big falling dot off in the distance, so you go to investigate. And it’s a human. Just, like, hanging out, in the middle of the sky. Plumbing toward earth at terminal velocity.
“Huh, that’s weird” you think to yourself.
You land on them. They seem nonplussed by their predicament.
But you’re a busy bird, you’ve got places to be. So you just fly off. Good luck, crazy human. Hope you make it.
He was tired. He needed a rest.
“Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner or a movie. Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out.”
— Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper (via wordsnquotes)
Anyone who cares about their body will at some point suffer and be let down as a result.
Anyone who cares for their body will know the happiness that lies in health, gratitude, and true love.
Do not bother yourself by judging if you have the body you want. Ask yourself whether or not you are deeply happy and at peace.
It is a more direct route to what we seek when we fixate on bodily appearance.
Enduring beauty is in peace and happiness, not in the body’s changefulness.
