In walks, Satoru, giddy that THE Akane called him in.
"Hello, boss." Happy smile.
"You knew someone caused the SEV 1 right?"
"It's the lead software engineer." He frowns (more like pouts a little). "But you already knew, why are you asking me?"
"Because I'm not a code geek like you and needed professional opinion, which my current employs couldn't do."
"He changed the cache configuration so every cached entry expired immediately. That forced millions of requests straight to-"
"Enough. I need a comprehensive report on this, and you have to explain from our side when the investigators come in, alright? And it has to be confidential."
He turns around to leave.
"But what do I get in return? Spoiler alert: I don't want money."
"I hate ungrateful people, but I hate being indebted more." She closed her laptop. "What do you want?"
"Let me buy you coffee from now on."
"I wanna buy you coffee every morning."
"Then I don't need to write that report either."
"Are you challenging me?"
"I'm trying to impress you."
"Well it's clearly not working, but fine, get me coffee every morning if you want."

"Naoya Zenin?" The head investigator walked into the conference hall mid meeting.
"Yes?" The lead programmer, Naoya Zenin, looked at him with a frown on his face.
"We are here to investigate you for the recent SEV 1."
Then there was a 3 hour long questioning session. Every computer and software was seized. Software engineers from the justice department interviewed Satoru, where they had to listen yap about the whole thing in an EXTREMELY comprehensive way.
"Naoya Zenin, we are going to arrest you on the account of Abuse of position, Breach of fiduciary duty, Money laundering and Cyber sabotage."
"Are you kidding me? Do you know who I am?"
"Is this a joke to you, you damn retard-"
"I'd mind my language and words if I were you, Keito. You have to face legal actions in the court now, after all." Akane entered the room.
"You're going to regret this, Akane."
"Oh, I already regret trusting you in the first place, Naoya. All you're worth are your skills. Which will be worthless after today."
"You know you'll never find someone as efficient as me, right?"
"Not so sure about, but you sure are one in a million for your pride and idiocy."
