Why did I tell Shachi about the zombie I ran into? Now he wants to see for himself.

This is smart. Walk right into a temple full of them. What could possibly go wrong?

Of course there are giant bats here. Of course it kicked my face with its little chicken legs.

When did did Shachi get so good at shanking people? It’s like he’s been to prison one too many times.

Well, at least I’m not alone anymore. It feels like it’s been a million years since I last saw any of my friends.

I should probably ask him how the Guild is holding up, and whether he knows how I got to Coldharbour. 

.... after we leave this zombie temple, of course.

We’ve been reunited!!

I had heard rumors from my comrades that a red-haired fellow recently helped out the Queen. As soon as they said he was giving all the ladies sweet eyes, I just knew it had to be Shachi.

I guess I won’t be needing to gather the stray dogs and monkeys to form my own Hearts Guild with. What a shame. I was getting quite fond of that little Kikoku monkey I found.

I’m keeping Bee though. That pup follows me everywhere.

... and I do mean everywhere. I appreciate unwavering dedication when I come across it.

Besides, he’s a cutie.

The queen tells me Ellie’s gone ahead and agreed to do some stuff for her. Sorry, captain, we might be here a while. 

I got around and got certified for skills I already had. (Thank you Kirin for those chemistry lessons, Tsume for the cooking, Shika for the carpentry, and Kikoku for the sewing. Your efforts were not in vain.) Now I could get job contracts for them in case I ever run short on cash. 

The armor and weapon craft tester was quite the cutie. The guy for the rest, not so much. It was like, if Zatou and Kikoku had a love child, except he’s a lot older and with more achievements than both of them combined. Ha! Well, in that case, he could be their overbearing dad. Makes so much more sense. 

I’m rambling now. Probably tired from all that gathering, crafting and forging.

Things are finally starting to make sense. I thought I’d been dreaming this whole time, Coldharbour being the stuff of my nightmares and all, but no. I’m in Tamriel alright and on the right track (finally!). I hope Ellie’s here somewhere, like her letter said she would be. 

And this babe, er, grand lady here’s the queen. I helped saved her from assassins today, but judging from these stories floating around about her and a bear, I’m not really sure if she needed my blade for this.

Kikoku, is that you?

Today has been an animal kind of day. Aside from all the monkeys I saw, this friendly little pooch started following me. I’m not entirely sure why. I wonder if I give off that pack-leader vibe?

No matter. I’m feeling kind of lonely without my mates around, if I’m honest with myself. Maybe I should herd all the monkeys and stray dogs together. Use them as replacements. I’ll even name them after my Guild mates. Surely the Guild would appreciate the gesture?

... or take it as a sure sign of my impending madness. Hmm.

Ah well.

I think I’ll name him Bee.

Queen Ayrenn was nice enough to help me send a message out to my Guild. I knew she must have connections! Ha.

In the interim, as I wait for some kind of reply, I’m continuing my charity work. Raz keeps sending me out on investigative missions- which, in and of itself, is no issue. Keeping to the shadows? Easy. Getting through top-notch security? No problem. Breaking through advance-level locks? Got it.

Finding my targets alive?

Sigh.

Look, I found the joke of the century!

Me, married. Hah! I can’t even get my own life together. How could I ever manage another’s?

It’s been a few days since my last entry. I should probably explain that my plan to detach myself from these people’s politics did not go well. In fact, the very reverse has happened. I’m now in Auridon, directly assisting Queen Ayrenn.

What little gold I managed to get from my odd jobs has been spent on proper armor. I was getting quite tired of being stabbed and slashed at, you see. And I had already (perhaps stupidly) committed myself to helping that Khajit fellow, Razum-dar. To be fair, it’s more like repaying a debt since he did, afterall, save me from drowning.

I just didn’t know returning the favor would involve me getting knee-deep into the Queen’s business.

My goal of returning home seems to be drifting further and further away. What is up with me lately? I’ve never been one to deviate from a set goal. And yet, ever since Coldharbour, I find it’s quite easy for me to lose sight of my own priorities.

I wonder how the Guild is doing? I’m starting to miss those idiots. I wonder if Law will be upset with me for being away for so long.

Actually… I wonder... if... maybe… whatever happened to me, happened to them as well....?

Gods. I hope not.

Okay, new goal: redouble your efforts to get a message out to them. I’m working for the Queen now! Surely she has connections I could tap into?

Entry 3, I’m giving up on the dates

I still haven’t any idea how I even got to Summerset Isles.

I mean, yes, I know this is simply the random location I was shoved off to after the whole Coldharbour thing. What I should say is, I don’t seem to have any memories from before Coldharbour. I’ve been exhausting myself trying to recall but I just can’t come up with any explanations. When did I get separated from my Guild? How did I end up in that prison?

The only thing I can correctly guess is that my jailers are the reason I’ve no weapons, gold, or clothes on me. Damn them. I hate having to use this crummy, cheap bow I stole off of a Sea Viper. No gold means I’m stuck picking up odd jobs here and there just to scrounge up enough money to travel back to my Guild. And here I thought my freelancing days were over.

Problem is, the people here seem eager to place their trust in a complete stranger like me. I’ve somehow gotten myself involved in their politics.

Deputy of the Mistral Guard? Nice.

Coming upon the soiled bedsheets of the Maormer Ambassador while fulfilling my Deputy duties? Not so nice.

I best find a way to prevent myself from getting any more involved. If I get too caught up with others’ problems, I’ll never make it home. I wonder if my Guild mates are worried? I wish I had a way to get a message to them so they could at least know I’m well.
