Iron Stone
A few years back we built a home in Perry Lake Estates in the Fall River area. It was a lot of fun to build, as it was our first “modern” style home. This home was designed by Solterre Design. A link to there page on this home can be found here.
This home is nestled away in the trees, and seems to be one with the surrounding area. Just last year we were asked by the home owner to build a new garage on the property, there was one catch though...the siding was to be of charred wood. As we found out after some research, it is a Japanese style of architecture. It gives an interesting look to an already intriguing design. Here are some pictures of the home and charred wood garage, hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed building this unique home!

Here is the garage. All charred wood cladding was homemade by the homeowner, a simple process, with an unique look.
