My yellowjackets sexuality headcanons :p p. 1 (because I'm bored)
1. Shauna Shipman - Bisexual
I mean. Okey I think this is one more people debate about, whether she actually enjoyed having sex/had any type of attraction for the men in the series. In my opinion she was attracted to them kind of the same way she was to Melissa (still different because of the context where she knew them and what they meant for her but, yeah). Like she wasn't actually in love with either of them, but that doesn't mean the attraction wasn't real and wasn't something that played into their dynamic. Still she only really loved Jackie soooooooo....
Also I think what solidified this for me was that jackieshauna fic where they start having sex after jackie and jeff break up and shauna is VERY mad that jackie can't admit she likes girls, because in her mind they're both bi, and they won't end up together but that's okay because they (Jackie) can end up with men even if they like women. But jackie is panicking a LOT because it's not only that she likes women (let alone her best friend) but she realises she never liked men in the first place so she can't end up with one of them and still be happy. And this makes them fight a lot lmao (very good fic!! Can't remember the name)
2. Jackie Taylor - Lesbian
Idk this seems obvious to me. Like I have said before, I don't think you can understand jackie taylor as anything other than a lesbian. Genuinely, I believe youre actively taking away from her story if you believe she likes men. Her story of repression compliments her role in the story, especially because she never got to live long enough to figure it out. Love her
3. Taissa Turner - Lesbian
?? I mean it's canon like JAKSJKA I don't have much to say other than I love that they made her actually SAY the word lesbian and not let her be up for interpretation. Obviously I think the canon-ness of a character's sexuality should be assumed the same way a straight character's is, like with jackieshauna. But also, in media you never hear the word lesbian be actually said, they always just leave the character with a girl or they use the word "gay" and it's just like ..... Let them say the L Word!!!!!! So I am very happy Taissa Turner is in every way shape or form THE canon lesbian of yellowjackets. She is so forgotten by the fandom but I LOVE her (#finalgirl).
Same thing with Taissa, she's canon and I love her for that. They're the it couple of the wilderness and I can't believe that people forget about both of them (as a lesbian couple and as lesbian characters) as much as they do.
5. Nat Scatorccio - Bisexual
Another one that everyone agrees with. Even if travnat are not my top ships, they're pretty cute and real, I can't deny that. For her attraction to woman I think it was one of those things like "yeah obviously" but she never thought much about it?? It was never relevant to her, she never would have a relationship with the girls she liked, not because they were girls but because they were FREAKS (lottienat mistynat love y'all)
Again sorry don't have much to say about her, just look at her face and tell me that's not peak bisexualism.
