I'm not bothered by that. It’s fine as long as it doesn’t interfere with what I’m doing. When I’m in a cafe drinking coffee, there won’t be a person who suddenly come and stops me from drinking right? (laugh). Usually, they just look at me, or take a picture of me quietly, it doesn’t really disturb me so it’s fine.
Q : Are you the type that pays no attention to people’s comment?
I try hard to not to pay attention. It will be hard on me if I care too much about it. Perhaps, because I want to live comfortably so I have developed nonchalant personality over time. (laugh)
Q : After becoming famous, people will change. What about you?
Not really. Meeting people who are close to me , it’s still the same
Q : I’m curious, what are you doing when you’re not busy?
Meet my friends and drink coffee or drink alcohol. We play game together too, mainly Winning (Online soccer game). Ah, it’s because I like soccer, so I play it in person too. I play together with an artist soccer team and with my friend’s team. I’m not that different with other man who are at the same age as me.

Ah, Really? What’s the reason?
Q : Firstly, good looks, when a woman needs him he always appears. The most important thing is no matter what happen he will answer his phone! A man who still answer his phone while fighting bad guys is rare.
Hahahahaha, speaking of which, that scene where I fight and answer phone was hard to act. I have to memorize both my action movement and my lines. But I don’t have much time, so I have to do it quickly. It really is a hard scen to do.
Q : What is Ji Chang Wook’s dating style?
I’m not sensitive like Jung Hoo. But I’m also not too nice or too bad. I just try to match with the girl.
Q : In the drama your “chemistry” with Chae Yong Shin is very good, but the “chemistry” between the two character you act Seo Jung Hoo and Park Bong Soo is good too. Especially the scene that is considered as the best ending by <Healer>’s fan, the ending of episode 5 . Bong Soo is coughing and said “Sunbae, please help me”, Yong Shin grabs him to run away and he ends the scene with slight smile.
Ah... (laugh) That scene is hard to shoot. Originally besides “Sunbae, please help me” it is written “Run together when Yong Shin grabs his hand” and “Jung Hoo knows Chae Yong Shin will do this action”. In that condition, you smile not because Yong Shin grabs your hand, and not because you’re excited, but you smile because you know Yong Shin will do that. How am I going to act this out... (laugh). It’s a very interesting novel-like script when you read it, but it’s very hard to act it out. That’s why the scene was shot a lot of times.
Q : Song Ji Na’s script is always famous for being written like novel. In an actor point of view, it could cause headache.
My head hurts. But it’s very interesting. It’s very difficult, so I worry a lot about it. That’s why, it has become even more interesting. To an actor, a difficult script can be enjoyable instead. If the script it too easy, it could feel tedious acting it. That’s why I feel thankful to the writer-nim for giving me something to worry about.
Q : Throughout all 20 episodes, do you have scene that is really hard to act out?
Seo Jung Hoo is a person who doesn’t cry. Even when teacher who is like a father figure to him die, he didn’t cry. It’s not because he hold back tears, but because he doesn’t know how to cry. How that feel is like “You could not cry”. But this kind of person met a girl like Chae Yong Shin, so the feelings that has been suppressed all this time flows out. Then, he gets to know how to cry. That is really hard to do. I asked writer-nim “How do you express a man who doesn’t know how to cry?”, and she answered “Em, It’s very hard right? But I know you can do, so I wrote it.... “ (applaud and laugh)
Q : It’s a sweet word but it’s a word that can make you feel a lot pressure.
It could be because writer-nim believes in me. It’s not “Why you can’t do that?” but “I know it’s hard but i know you can do it” I feel thankful and it gave me strength.
Q : Maybe because of this worry that Jung Hoo’s emotion are very detailed and convincing
No matter if it’s long scene or short scene I work hard to grasp it well. I also don’t like dull character so I think a lot how to make this character three dimensional. This is not a movie but a 20-episode drama. It’s not only 2 hours but it’s 20 hours. I think a lot how to fill up this 20 hours. In a movie, It doesn’t seem monotone if the character just gets angry from start to finish, but drama is different. If for the whole 20 hours I just get angry, how bored the audience will feel. The scripts also assist me a lot in achieving a more solid character.
Q : You look like an actor who is good at moving your body. And you body looks more like a dancer than a fighter. How is your dancing skill?
I really, really really can’t dance (laugh). In musical <The Days> instead of dancing, I’m just a tree that follows the rhythm. My friends who have attended the performance said “The song is very good, it’s very interesting too but just one thing.. please don’t dance”. I try really hard but everyone told me not to dance. But what can I do, the script is written that way. Regardless, I still just dance (laugh out loud)
Q : You are really not affected by other people’s words. Then, will you see comments from the internet, or visit sites like ‘drama gallery”?
This, really.. people are strange... they are always curious. Therefore sometimes I look at it, But no matter if it’s good comments, or bad comments, I try not to get affected by them
Q : Then do you know the word “Meong Mung Mi”?
Meong Mung Mi? What does that mean?
Q : Recently, it’s a word that a lot of girls use in the internet. A man who is tall, has wide shoulder but has strange charm that makes people pity him and wants to pat him.
Ahahahaha! I don’t know. This is the first time I hear it. Isn’t it a good word?
Q : After appearing in <Healer>, you yourself has become “Meong Mung Mi”
After hearing it, I realize this must be one of Jung Hoo’s charm. Of course, it could be the actor’s charm, but an actor’s charm will change depending on the character he acts.

Yes, I do. I like the passenger seat, so I always sit there. My manager is a friend of mine. I first met him when I was 17 years old until now he is my closest friend. I like eating so much. I basically eat 6 times in a day. Yesterday, my schedule finished around midnight, so I was very hungry. Normally, I would not hesitate to buy take away food or go out to eat, but for the sake of today’s photo shoot I hold back a bit. Actually, until just a few days ago I still gain little bit of weight (laugh)
Q : You gain easily, but do you lost it as easily?
Yes, it’s easy. I really have gained 5 kg in a week before.
Q : Until now you have done <The Days> musical performance. Are you always interested in musical?
Outside of school, my first acting is in an independent movie, after that I perform in a musical at my university’s small stage. I can perform after passing the audition. Because it’s not an official performance so it’s very short just for 10 days. Musical is something that I always want to try.
Q : What is the reason?
I like to act on stage, and it also has music that I like.
Q : But what about dancing?
Dancing well... (laugh) I can’t dance but I think I just need to practice hard. How come there are things that you can’t do after practicing hard. That’s what I think.
Q : I heard you are going to the army next year?
Yes, but I still don’t know the exact date.
Q : Getting enlisted soon is a big pressure.
If I say I don’t feel pressured, it is a lie. I feel pressured but I don’t worry about it. It’s just “Well, It’s something that I have to do anyway, so I just do it and come back”. When I go back home after it’s finished, the bills that got pushed back for months are…. (laugh) It’s always the first thing I do. So I live like that. I can’t do two things at once.
Q : People who lives like that knows clearly what is important. In the long run maybe it’s a better personality?
It could be it, but since I always live a busy life so when I go back to normal life it’s confusing (laugh). When I do a project, it’s good to only think about that project. When I finished filming, there are more to think about. When I filmed a drama, I live in a fantasy world so I don’t have to worry about anything else, that’s why I feel more comfortable.
Q : When you’re filming, I think you can’t even take care of your lover.
That’s right. I can’t think about it. That’s why I can’t date. Furthermore, I am not the type who will hold phone on filming site. If possible, i don’t look at my phone at all. That’s why it’s hard to contact me. It’s not just girlfriend, but also friends, family without exception. That’s why I feel really sorry, I feel thankful to the people who leave me alone, and waited until I finished filming. When I was filming, I even seldom see my mom who live with me (laugh)

Q: What are you interested in lately?
This is the thing that I always think about when I have time. Actually I can’t think of anything specific (laugh). A little bit after this, i should be thinking about projects.
Q : Besides projects, what are you interested in?
That is a concern, will i be able to find a kind of hobby? I want to find a special hobby that I can give my full attention to. I still haven’t found it.
Q : ‘I don’t know about anything else, but I really can’t give up this one thing’ What if you have to choose one in your life?
Food! Being able to eat delicious foods and feeling happy is something I definitely can’t give up on. Sometimes I think like this, in the future I will live for 60 more years, before I die will I be able to eat all the delicious foods in this world? I think I won’t be able to eat them all. Sometimes, I have this kind of conversation with my manager friend. Ya! Why are there so many delicious foods in this world! Until now, even in Korea, there are still a lot of delicious foods I haven’t try. And why are there so many good places to eat… (laugh). Even my mom’s cooking is delicious. I’m 29 years old now, and everyday I eat foods that one person make, I still find it really delicious.
