Did you hear Incredibles 3 was announced at D23? What are your thoughts and hopes for the trilogy??

extremely ready to be dissapointed which is good cause I might have a nice surprise.

I am just starting to accept that incredibles 1 is such a good movie thats nothing is ever gonna quite come close, I just hope for cool action scenes and flawless music scores, hell I am starting to warm up to the second movie by simple virtue of its art and music

The most intetesting thing is def the villian being also a super tho so lets see what comes of it. We are gonna see more of Bob feeling like his best days are over and although we had already seen that, its sort of different now because it seems like age is truly catching up to him, now its not society or insurance holding him back, its the brutal physical reality of health decline (ofc it would have been better if the characters were older cause he is only 40 but alas) thats not possible to overcome.

It seems like its always bob who ends up being the one with a character arc tho, I mean it makes sense, he was always concieved as the main character (hilarious that in the last two movie sumaries, the presenter is like "in the first, bob learned a life altering lesson and in the second elastigirl was more in it I guess" lmao), I just dont care about this "the parents dont trust their kids with hero work again" approach like again??? I repeat Maybe it they were older and did things in a way their parents didnt approve of it would create some compelling conflict (idk maybe jack jack is too aggresive with minor criminals and has to learn descalation of violence who knows!)

So my final thoughts!: I will prolly buy one or two incredi plushies

Estaba pensando en como los niños tal vez le reclamaría a Henry por no estar presente en sus vidas. Dashie o Viktor tal vez se lo dicen. Y Henry se da cuenta.

Puede ser, aunque realmente no sé que se podria hacer en esa situacion para resolverlo porque bueno, así es su trabajo, supongo que depende del niño, para ponernos un poco personales yo creci con una figura paterna que por trabajo salia mucho de casa así que lo tengo bastante normalizado no diria que es como un trauma además siento que Henry si intentaria hacer lo más que puede durante el tiempo que sí esta en casa y trata de estar presente, los llama todos los dias etc. Eso ayuda mucho. But esa es como mi opinion.

Igual no es como que pueda dejar de trabajar porque con el sueldo de barbara no alcanza y pues ya estan a acostumbrados a cierto nivel de vida así que no sé como se resolveria eso XD

But I do wanna draw a lot more it because it makes so 🥺 Helen's relationships with her kids are very interesting actually, with dash specially because theres definetly a feeling of mutual distrust on each other, which is why she will not let him play sports cause he might use his powers (and tbh he prolly would, as he uses them to misbehave precisely because he has no outlet for all the energy he has, so its a vicious cycle) and he doesnt trust helen because she is inconsistent with what she says vs what she makes him do, she is also, sadly, the unfun parent because Bob lets Dash use his powers and even praises him for them.

This is, to me, the real meat and potatoes of the car conversation (ppl fixiate on the "nobody is special if everyone is" blah blah bit but as I have said I dont really care for what Bird was saying with that). I think that feeling would be amplified x1000 in a genderbend scenario because in this case, as Henry spends days or even weeks away from home for work, Dashie spends most of her time with Barbara who as we can assume would be much more permissive about Dashielle using her powers if she can get away with it.

This instantly makes Henry feel like an oppresive force to her when he comes back and reprimands her (which like even if they cant jail kids it would still disrupts their lives and as a child she just doesnt have the mental capacity to grasp the severity of it) So when they are in the island and he finally encourages her to use her powers its a HUGE deal for her. Again its basically the same as in the canon but it just feels~ a lot bigger to me. Thats her first baby girl.

thanks a lot for the ask so my idea is that elastiguy in this au was working for another super agency at the time Bud was working with Miss incredible so he was mostly spared from that pathetic situation until they broke things up however I like the idea that Bud also met him while doing some side mission and complained to him about dating problems (also they might have some one sided beef because babs though elastiguy was handsome and voiced this opinion at some point) so Henry would give him tips to win barbara over and such.

So many years later when he finds out they married he is not as gleeful as in the canon verse thats for sure XD POETIC IRONY
