daughter gave me yarn for my birthday!! squeeeeee
Finally finished pair of socks for me! Used loops & threads cashmere blend in 'autumn fields', size 1 bamboo needles, and baby cable stitch.
Pair of socks made using Berroco sox #1494 Flitwick size 1 bamboo needle. used the elongated corded rib pattern on this one which I didn't enjoy as much as baby cable.

Forgot to post this but I did finish Alex's Christmas socks... using loops & threads cashmere blend in 'crocuses' on size 1 takumi bamboo needles. I loved working with this yarn it truly feels scrumptious. :)
thanks so much @mellieblossom for this wonderful yarn! now to decide what to make with it!! :) be sure to check out her blog mellie blossom
thank you @kaygardiner, @annshayne of Mason-Dixon Knitting for this wonderful book. I can't wait to read some of the stories inside. :)
thank you so much, life@home magazine for this wonderful book! I cannot wait to make something from it, it is full of so many amazing patterns. My daughter and I were oohing and ahhing over every one of them- she wants the meow mitts and catching butterflies mitts, and i want the dragon watcher's hood and woodland hoodlet for myself!
beginning work on alex's christmas socks. loops & threads cashmere blend, 'crocuses'
pinworks loses fave hat during my visit. so i hastily make him a new one when i get home- however he is disappointed because the pompom doesnt flop as much as the old one :(
midsummer began socks for myself in a cashmere blend called loops n threads 'autumn fields'. managed to finish ONE by november, then frantically recalled i was supposed to be making everyone socks for christmas....so put off making the 2nd one til later.
have developed sick sock yarn obsession. rationalize by saying i will knit everyone socks for Christmas. is now november and havent finished one pair yet.
made a felted handbag for daughter alex- she was very pleased with the result!
felted a handbag for my sister's birthday, added a cool medieval looking silver button :)
bought myself a new knitting book and attempted something more fun, baby cables! i was very pleased with how these socks came out, and they were a gift for my bf pintworks for christmas. i used kroy sock yarn fx in cascade and size 3 bamboo takumi needles.
simple coffee cozy knitted up with cotton yarn and i added wooden buttons :)
my sister saw my socks post and asked me to make her a pair- unfortunately, the yarn i used was no longer available and i didnt have enough! so i substituted a similar colorway and they turned out ok, not perfect, but she liked them :)
