Soooo I was rewatching a childhood cartoon when I started picking up on some neurospicy vibes, and then this happened. Help, I can't stop giving adorable cartoon girls with headbands neurodivergent headcannons! I drew her as a few years older here, btw.

I feel the need to summon @sarahtastic-cake, because I just binged all of her WordGirl art and it's half the reason I drew this in the first place.

For people who haven't seen WordGirl, all you need to know is that this (Becky Botsford) is the titular superheroine's mild-mannered secret identity, she has a monkey sidekick, and the narrator often interacts with the characters who I've represented in the captions.

Nobody talks about Victoria x Violet and that makes me sad. They don't interact much in the show but I think their dynamic would be adorable.

Jin-Yeong (my wg oc) met Chuck at a very unexpected time. I headcanon that in the episode "Tim Botsford: Neighborhood Dad", where Chuck steals food trucks for him and his mom's sandwich business, he tries to steal Jin-Yeong's truck by threatening her with his condiment ray. Chuck immediately backs down after Jin-Yeong cracks under the pressure and bawls her eyes eyes out with pleads of not taking her dreams away. He comforts her slightly and bails right after to find another food truck to steal.

Later, they meet again, this time after Chuck is released in prison. He apologizes profusely and they both laugh it over later.

Chuck comes to Jin-yeong’s food truck to try her fruit sandwiches every few days of the week after the fiasco and they'd have friendly small talk which would then spark into large conversations. He was probably her only regular at her truck and the only friend she had in Fair City at the time.

They later get to know each other more closely outside of Jin-yeong’s work hours and they bond about video games for the most part (Jin-yeong’s a video game speed runner and competes in gaming tournaments).

She finds it a bit hard to believe she found a friend who also is a known villain in town... who also has a sandwich for a head, but she sees the good in Chuck and wishes him the best...

Wordgirl Redefined: A Wordgirl continuation!

Designs are may possibly change. Might change Victoria's outfit actually.

What is Wordgirl Redefined?:

Wordgirl Redefined is my interpretation of what would happen after Wordgirl ended, a fan continuation to what was left off after Soup2Nut’s untimely demise and thus the unexpected and abrupt ending to the OG Wordgirl series. It starts off a few months after the episode Rhyme and Reason, when Becky and the rest of her grade graduate 5th grade and move onto Fair City Middle School. Becky/Wordgirl, now entering a new chapter in her life, will face greater challenges of growth, both as a hero and as a person alone; tackling bigger words with greater meanings, realizations that villains can be redeemed, discovering powers she’s never had before, and her needing to become stronger, as more stronger, ruthless villains make they’re presence known. This series aims to continue the legacy of the original series, maintaining its similar humor and writing, but aiming to go into a slightly more serialized and introspective approach to the show’s story and characters.

What type of media will Wordgirl Redefined be? (Comic, animation, etc?)

I hope that one day I can make this idea an animated series akin to Wordgirl:Rewired by snickerdoodlez, whether it be animatic style or fully animated. But I am unable at this time to do that because of my busyness at school and I also need to figure out everything for this continuation so I can gather people to help me. I also need to figure out how to get people into this project in the first place so it will be...quite awhile before this and also Wordgirl New Terms will come close to a fully animated and voiced fan series. But I am definitely planning on making a lot of art and comics for this continuation so there is that! I am excited to make more ideas and art for this in the future. Stay tuned!
