I have no friends. Is that why my flesh is so naked?
Sartre
i am extremely well-adjusted and mentally healthy as long as nothing goes wrong ever at all even a little bit
“3 o’clock. 3 o’clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do. Epicuria moment in the afternoon. Today it is intolerable. “
- Sartre, Nausea
here from ur webbing blog :o where dyou find quotes n stuff!! thinking of making some of my own… youve inspired me!!
Yoooo!!!! Epic! Please tell me when u make ur blog, I will definitely follow and promote u!
For quotes specifically I use goodreads! quotes there have tags assigned, so it's easier to search
For song lyrics - I go through Spotify and YouTube playlists that fit a theme/character to find songs and then look up lyrics to them on other websites
It's kind of harder for longer extract from books if you don't have specific texts in mind, but it's always worth looking through literature tags in Tumblr!
For art/paintings - web gallery of art has a search engine that can help, but if you only have vague concepts in mind, straight up googling *concept* painting and then just looking up the author can be easier. Also it's always good to have some artists you like so you can look through their works first instead of hopelessly scrolling through internet (for me it's Holly Warburton,,, she always gas art I'm looking for...)
Yeah, that's the main stuff! Oh, and also always include credits for the stuff u use in ur posts! it's a must!
“We need to move away from this constant need of coming across as calm, cool and collected. We weren’t built to be calm, cool, and collected. If we were, it wouldn’t feel so fucking exhausting all the time. It would, you know, come naturally to us. You know what comes naturally to human beings though? Being open, being messy, being raw, being unfiltered, having lots of feelings. Why should we have to stifle our true nature? Let’s go after the things we want, let’s love each other brutally and honestly, and not worry about the consequences. Let’s release the feelings inside of us and let them land somewhere special. Otherwise, we might have a lifetime of longing in front of us.”
— Ryan O’Connell, You Need To Go After The Things You Want
“Two thousand years ago, Aristotle wondered why the great poets, philosophers, artists, and politicians often have melancholic personalities. His question was based on the ancient belief that the human body contains four humors, or liquid substances, each corresponding to a different temperament: melancholic (sad), sanguine (happy), choleric (aggressive), and phlegmatic (calm). […] But Aristotle’s question never went away; it can’t. There’s some mysterious property in melancholy, something essential. Plato had it, and so did Rumi, so did Charles Darwin, Abraham Lincoln, Maya Angelou, Nina Simone … Leonard Cohen. But what, exactly, did they have? I’ve spent years researching this question, following a centuries-old trail laid by artists, writers, contemplatives, and wisdom traditions from all over the world. […] And I’ve concluded that bittersweetness is not, as we tend to think, just a momentary feeling or event. It’s also a quiet force, a way of being, a storied tradition–as dramatically overlooked as it is brimming with human potential. It’s an authentic and elevating response to the problem of being alive in a deeply flawed yet stubbornly beautiful world.”
— Susan Cain, from Bittersweet: How Sorrow and Longing Make Us Whole (Crown, 2022)
Sometimes it feels like I’m raising a young girl that chooses death inside a woman who have no choice but to bring life.
I see the world through shades that refuse to exist.
The eye of truth is obsessed with death as much as it fears resurrection.
I have faith in the future. I know I have more time to dig up more graves in the graveyard that is my soul for versions of myself that were never allowed to be.
Now, i know myself In the comfort of the walls of my own mind
I know myself, alone.
Sarcastic, a bit cynical some of my pieces have fallen out, Others are hanging like broken teeth. My skin won’t shed completely and my fingers aren’t enough to hold me
Yet, I refuse to ask for help afraid if someone actually reached out
I’ll bite…
Loneliness to someone who’s used to be alone and prefers to be feels a lot like betrayal…
I wish I could stop feeling this lonely all the time, it’s almost like a phantom limb pain. I’m feeling pain in a part of me that no longer exists…
Bleeding rage from an invisible wound.

"We shall not understand the phenomena of stock residences United we regard then as energy systems which have the right of entry, unless some other systems of greater energy can bar them out or perhaps drain their energy away from them."
