Request: Anonymous. Hey could I get a one shot on “I Want Crazy” (hunter hayes) with dean winchester x reader where everyone says they’re out of their mind that the relationship will never works but they make it happen? I don’t know
Hunters lived dangerous lives. There was always a chance he wouldn’t come home to you. There was no shortage of people looking down on you for your choice to stand by him. You never cared. Sitting on your bed, you were looking at old pictures of the two of you. Smiling, you traced his features with the pads of your fingers.
“Hop on.” Dean crouched for you. It had been raining for days, and the day of your first date hadn’t seen a drop. Until you were out in the open. The sky opened up and let loose again. The puddles were just getting worse.
You laughed. “What about you?!”
He gave you that grin. “Worth it.”
Dean was off on a hunt with Sam, so you worried a tiny bit less. They watched each other’s backs, and Sam was a damn good hunter. So, Dean would come home to you. Just like he always had.
Bobby had told you that he might not make it to your first anniversary. Said you’d never get married, never have children. You held on tight. You were crazy in love with your green eyed hunter.
You held on to Dean’s hand, laughing. He was currently blindfolded as you led him along. “Babe, really?” He chuckled. “What are you up to?”
“Almost there!” You told him. “Just a few more minutes.”
“Fine.” He pretended to be annoyed, sighing. When you stopped you pulled off his blindfold. “It’s a…lake?” He looked at you.
You nodded. “Yup! So, strip.” You grinned, pulling off your boots before pushing your jeans down. Dean looked confused. “It’s the 4th of July, babe. Skinny dipping under the fireworks!” His face lit up before he joined you in stripping out of his clothes, letting them simply drop to the ground.
He’d admitted that hunting had become scary for him, because he didn’t want to leave you alone. But, it also made him feel more alive, because it gave him a reason to really fight. He had someone at home waiting for him. His home comings were never boring. Always with flowers, a deep kiss, and a huge grin. You’d make a nice meal, and then you’d feel whole again. Your family was home.
“You’re kidding, right?!” You stared up at the massive roller coaster.
Dean smirked at you. “Come on, live a little!” He nudged you slightly. “I’ll hold you’re hand, too.”
Sighing, you laced your fingers with his and got in line. “You’re insane, you know that, right?”
Ellen had told you that you should steer clear of Dean, that nothing good would come of it. You’d get hurt, you’d wind up dead, or worse. It had killed you when her and Jo died, you’d mourned her, of course. However, you were happy to know that you and Dean were proving the world wrong.
Of course you were crazy! You brought out the best and worse in each other. Hearing the bunker door, you dropped the pictures on the bed and ran through the halls. You jumped on Dean, kissing him and smiled. “I missed you, too, sweetheart.” He chuckled. “But, I have one hell of a bruise on my side.” He groaned.
“Sorry!” You said as you got off of him. “I’m glad you’re home.”
