Tallulah is a girl who dreams of becoming the star actress in a Broadway musical! She was accepted as a student at a performing arts school in Tokyo. Always the "weird girl" in elementary school for her singleminded devotion to theater, she is excited to be surrounded by people who understand her passion. Tallulah feels a little self conscious because she doesn't have "natural" talent like some of the other students, but she believes that hard work and love of the theater arts will help her achieve her goals anyway!
Tallulah is Cure Bravo, and her color is pink. Her personality is "genki" and earnest, and very nerdy about theater.
Unfortunately, she initially clashes with her slacker classmate, Sumire Kana, who despite her stated goal of becoming a world-famous comedienne, doesn't seem to be doing much to achieve that dream... Kana believes that some people are born with talent and some people aren't, so there isn't any point of working hard at something you're not good at. An encounter with the villains disavows her of this belief, and she realizes that if she works hard in all her classes she'll be a better comedienne in the end, even if she's not amazing at everything she tries...
Kana is Cure Encore, and her color is blue. She is tomboyish and sarcastic, but she has a soft spot for her friends, and especially Tallulah.
Meanwhile, Miura Hibiki is the student council and star of the classical Japanese theater and opera program at the school. Although she is just 15, she acts (and feels) very "grown up." Secretly she longs to hang out with friends her own age and talk more casually, but she feels a lot of pressure from her opera singer grandmother to focus on her studies. Joining the other Cures as Cure Opera gives her a chance to work out tension and find the friendship she was lacking.
Hibiki is Cure Opera, and her color is yellow. Her personality is "lady-like" and proper, but she secretly likes cartoons and manga.
Hoshino Popu is the redeemed villain Cure, she was a manufactured secret robot pop star introduced by the villains to make the other students at the academy doubt their ability to achieve their goals, since Popu is perfect at everything she tries. But when Popu sees the true love and friendship the Cures have, she begins to doubt her place in the villains' plans. She becomes Cure Début in the last act.
Popu is Cure Début, and her color is purple. Her personality is prideful and bratty, but she has a lonely side...
Soap-Dragons can be summoned from the Bubble Dimension by a wizard. In the Bubble Dimension they are enormous beasts, like blue whales, but in the process of transport they get compressed into little fat things, about the size of a handsoap dispenser.
In the Bubble Dimension, Soap Dragons have all kinds of crazy powers and drama, but in our world all they can do is dispense various gels, soaps, and creams from their... orifices... (ew....)
A lot of them are happy with the simpler life this allows them... Some people aren't cut out for draconic scheming, let's face it. Aloeverity is the princess of the Aloe Vera kingdom and was able to escape an arranged marriage by being isekai'd into Human Earth. Saponifer is her best friend, who manages to force her way into the other dimension to find her.
The Soap-Dragons live with a very ordinary everybutch named Ferdi (pronounced fair-dee, it's short for Ferdinand). He takes good care of them and for the first time in his life he has a clean apartment...
Usagi Tsukino and her Sailor Senshi form from my Sailor Moon AU

Basically it's a story I had in mind where the Senshi forms of the girls are giant alien slime monsters.
Usagi is also fat, and her body dysmorphia is central to the story (her ascension as Moon Princess hinges on her ability to accept and love her body unconditionally in both its forms).
Each of the girls has a Senshi form, and the fluid inside them is the source of their power (Moon's is moonlight, Mercury's is freshwater, Mars's is lava, Jupiter's is plasma, Venus's is sunlight, Uranus's is air/oxygen (pooltoy girl), Neptune's is seawater, Pluto is a terrarium, and Saturn is empty.)
The story mostly plays out the same but with an added emphasis on loving yourself in every shape!
Scallop is a Wormeater (exonym: truf) who lives with his adoptive parents, who initially thought he was an animal until he began to mimic their speech. Now saddled with a child they are destined to outlive (Wormeaters have short lifespans, just 50 years at the very most), they do their best to raise him without making him ashamed of himself, which is all any parent can hope to do, and like all parents they fail...
His horror of his own body and terror of the fate of most Wormeaters (to be bred, or to be eaten, and often both) lead him to run away, and become ensnared in a hero's journey out of the Book of Exodus...
