part of an actual conversation I just had:
many of north americas native worms are really rare now because of habitat loss, toxic chemicals, and irresponsible practices with non-native worms.
apparently very few of these worms are recognized officially as endangered species... because of worm bias??? Idk? Probably because "uninteresting" species often are shoved under the rug when it comes to government conservation efforts.
anyway i have concluded that, therefore, it is always ethical to grab fistfulls of these invasive worms and bring them into captivity
