sometimes, people age out of tumblr and that's okay. this year has been.... eye-opening in many ways, but i think it's finally time that i ( officially ) say goodbye to the tumblr roleplay community. it's been fun, depressing, exciting and just downright horrid at times, but i wouldn't trade my years here for anything.
that being said, i do have discord ( if anyone would like it, where i write other muses, etc. ) i also am quite active on twitter roleplay ( if anyone wants to give that a go and whatnot. ) i have tons of ocs, canon characters and a political rpg that i run.
should anyone want these means of contact, just let me know! i'll stay logged in because i use tumblr for gifs and editing help, but as far as writing goes.... my days are numbered. thank you for everything.

So, it seems the fix for editable reblogs is here!
All you have to do is update your x-kit extensions by clicking on the xkit control panel:
Following this step, once the xkit thingy mabob opens in the center of the screen, click on other !
Then finally, once you get there, click on update all my extensions:
Let it update and then refresh tumblr, and your editable reblogs should be back to how they were before, for starters & such !

ON THE MATTER OF GEORGE FLOYD.
ON MONDAY, MAY 25TH, GEORGE FLOYD WAS KILLED BY A WHITE MALE POLICE OFFICER. george was unarmed. he was known as a “gentle giant”. he had a family. a store clerk called the police, claiming that he had counterfeit money. george floyd was unaware. a police officer stood on his neck for nine whole fucking minutes and didn’t care that he was slowly killing the man beneath him. he told them he couldn’t breathe. it’s sickening. i know this is tumblr and i know this is roleplay, but frankly, i don’t give a damn. everyone should be talking about this, researching, finding out what they can do to help. this man is just one of MANY unarmed black individuals who have met their fate at the hands of a person who is supposed to protect them and uphold the law .... not violently murder those they swore to protect. the sad truth? racism is very much a reality. i can’t even imagine what these people have to tell themselves or how tight they hold their children when they leave the house just because they never know if they’ll come home or not. george never came home. please, i urge you to READ THIS ARTICLE. get informed. reblog this. send it to your friends. donate. EDITABLE REBLOGS NOT WORKING? WORRY NOT!
so my editable reblogs finally broke. after doing some 2am digging, coming up with a redundant solution, making an ENTIRE TUTORIAL for said redundant solution, and realizing it’s useless, i’ve got the answer to the problem for everyone. i’ve joined the xkit support discord server, and here is what’s been said about the issue so far:
TLDR; EDITABLE REBLOGS WON’T WORK ON ORIGINAL POSTS, BUT IT’LL WORK ON REBLOGS WITH REPLIES. meaning if jane posts a starter and june replies to it without using editable reblogs, it’ll create this trail item. so from then on out, you can feel free to use xkit’s extension to your heart’s content.
so if you’re getting this issue, the solution is simple: DON’T USE XKIT ON THE FIRST REPLY. yes, it’ll be ugly, but everything will be back to normal from there :)
