My friends and I are writing a Maruders series, and we need a bit if basic info. I was wondering, do you know about any teachers from that time and what they taught? If not, do you know of any problems that Sirius, Remus, James and Pettigrew went through? I've been researching and I can't find much. Thanks!
I am sure about McGonnagall-Transfiguration, Head of Gryffindor House and Deputy Headmistress, Slughorn-Potions, Head of Slytherin House. Also I think there was Flitwick-Charms, Head of Ravenclaw House, and Pamona Sprout-Herbology and Head of Hufflepuff House and Hagrid was around that time. Others I do not know.
Also about the problems we know 100% that Sirius ran from home and lived with the Potters, had a degrading relationship with his brother.
James pinned after Lily, was heir to a fortune, adored his parents and lost them around his last year, he also was a chaser.
Remus was smart and dawn for anything. He had a hard time because of his fluffy problem and though of himself as a monster but he had his friends.
Peter was shy and fearful.
We also know about Sirius almost killing Snape as prank, because he invited him in at the Wooping Willow during full moon and James at the last moment saved him. Pretty sure after that the boys had a little conflict and Remus was mad for some time at Sirius.
During the Marauders era we have also Lily Evans who doesn’t need introductions.
Marlene McKinnon, we have only a mention of her in canon but I see her as James’ childhood best friend, his sister, Gryffindor with blonde hair and blue eyes, Lily’s best friend and Sirius’ girlfriend, because I am a Blackinnon fan for life, she is fiery and takes no shit and could kill you with her glare but has the greatest soul and is loyal to a fault(also people think of her as The Strong One but she just need a hug), she is the only one from the girls who knows about Remus and is right next to his bed after every transformation, *canon* she was killed with all her family in her childhood home. *canon*
Mary MacDonald another friend of Lily’s, Gryffindor, light brown hair and chocolate eyes, she is so much stronger than people give her credit for and she really cares for people. *canon* She was assaulted by Mucliber with dark magic in her time at Hogwarts(canon).
Alice and Frank Longbottom (Neville’s parents) *canon* were both Gryffindors and Aurors. *canon* Same year as the Marauders. Frank is a cinnamon roll but not in the same way Neville is. Alice is 90% nice but don’t get on her bad side she will rip you. Also I see her as having a closer relationship with Remus and I cannot imagine her with anything other than a pixie cut.
Emmemilne Vance. Lily’s friend, Gryffindor and the Party Girl. For whatever reason I see her having Veela blood and being really rich also blonde. She is a sweetheart and really wants to be loved.
Dorcas Meadows was such a badass it was needed for Voldemort himself to take her down, and that is canon. I see her 2 years older than the rest, Auror, Moody’s most trusted solider.
And here you have some of my Marauders knowledge and also some of my headcanons. If you want to make a story write down all the canon facts and events in chronological order and then fill it with headcanons yours or popular ones. Good luck hope I helped 😘
