as much as i have my reservations with how they handled MC in the latest event…

these are so cute LMFAOO i genuinely lol’d at their expressions + dialogue in the second ss 😆 and swooned for the first one ahhh <33 sy!!!! lus!!!!!

I also do want to get serious for a little. Infold has always had this problem with giving support towards the POC MCs and it’s so sad but I also want to say this is some of the community’s fault for those people who were trying to justify Infold’s behavior.

They already have the Nikki franchise where you can change her skin tone and IT WAS STILL AN ISSUE! It’s ridiculous at this point and L&Ds is basically more “progressive” than the Nikki franchise in terms of customization since… you know it’s our MC rather than their original character.

Stop justifying big companies when we KNOW they can do better. If you were going to let players be able to customize their own MC then they need to be consistent. They should have just made an original character for this game if they were going to have the MC be some generic, light skin, brown straight hair woman instead of letting us have a choice. (I apologize if I describe what your MC is or who you are, it’s not to be disrespectful but the point is, we were promised a customizable MC. OUR OWN MC, only to not be given that).

I shouldn’t have to go into every survey just to ask them to fix the fucking lighting on dark skinned MCs or to make the game inclusive to POC instead of micro aggressive. Or to let us TRULY be and use our MCs like we were promised to be able to.

If anyone finds it an inconvenience for POC players to use our voices and demand inclusiveness that we shouldn’t even HAVE to ask for, you’re entitled af and you’re apart of the problem. It’s getting RIDICULOUS.

I love you L&Ds community, if you’re not POC and you’re fighting for us with Infold’s behavior, I appreciate you using your voice for that! If you’re POC and especially a dark skinned player, I love you so much and we are not in the wrong for being upset! Keep using your voice! (I’ll also say this too, I’m black but I’m not dark skinned. I have privileges that my dark skinned folks don’t have just for being tan. I hateeee seeing my people not getting what they were PROMISED and what they DESERVE in this game, especially those who have spent so much time and money into it. Do not be afraid to step back from the game either if you need it, keep speaking up about Infold’s behavior). I LOVE YOU ALL 💕

// L&Ds Hidden Waves (Caleb) smoll spoilers

small rant about his card (the beginning half, i took a break out of irritation) and just the dynamic between him and his MC

I was so excited about getting Hidden Waves eventually (the way i got it pissed me off tho, i want rafayel’s myths not caleb’s card 😭 i feel like it should be a crime to get other 5*s on specific banners sigh)

Anyway!! The animation looked so good so I was always looking forward to HW but now that I’m playing it, I’m already pissed off.

I love Caleb but the thing that made me love the other four so much was how they’d let your MC be… a grown ass woman. Obviously some have different levels like Sylus and Zayne are the best at letting MC do her thing with Rafayel next and Shen/Xavier after but they still respect the fact that, hey, you’re grown, you’re a hunter, we care and want to care for you but we understand you can protect yourself when necessary.

Caleb just… doesn’t. And MC tries to argue she’s an adult, she’s a hunter, but immediately goes crying apologies to Caleb 10 seconds later. I hate it soso much 😭 like girl, at this point, don’t even make that argument anymore if you’re going to let yourself be cradled by him. I get it, it’s their dynamic but it’s what really pulls me out of enjoying Caleb’s character because I just HATE MCs in Caleb’s MCs position.

If Caleb wanted to get your attention so badly, he’s a grown man and can walk inside the café to come hang out - I’m sure the MC and her friends wouldn’t have minded. If Caleb wanted to show his care for the MC so badly and not have her get angry with him, why couldn’t he just simply say, “Hey, someone got killed last night and I was really worried about you. I know you can take care of yourself but that doesn’t stop me from caring about your safety.” It’s not like he’s admitting his romantic feelings or anything by saying that, any family member could say something like that w/o it being weird like don’t piss me off 😭

I seriously love Caleb but again, shit like this just rubs me the wrong way. I hated when Shen would do that shit too so it’s not like this is just a Caleb hating thing, pfft. DGMW i’m not saying the MC is the unbreakable force but I was so excited that she was this badass character only to… not be one?? She can be but why is this badass woman who’s a HUNTER, being babied 😭 and why is she letting herself be walked over like that… Should have just made her a regular office worker if we weren’t going to see our girl in proper action and showing who and what is boss </3 (not saying office workers cant be girlbosses hehe they can be very much, i think i’m just expecting too much from l&ds mc physically yk…?)

How can she put her foot down with Sylus (and i mean, he loves it) but not with Caleb 😭😭😭😭 I be so excited when she talks her shit to Caleb ONLY to to apologize right after be so serious !!! and she doesn’t even need to apologize like 😭 (then i rmbr the MCs are different with each boy so then i lock in and go take a break from the game)
