Wrath is a human roleplay on Wikifoundry, another roleplay community different from tumblr. We are a close knit group of people dedicated to our characters, plots, site and each other. Instead of using posts or inboxes like many do on tumblr, we use OOC (out of character) chats and IC (in character) chats on the site to keep in touch with each other and engage in ‘live’ roleplay with whoever is online at the time. Along with this, we also offer thread roleplay, which is mostly used for character interaction and smaller, less important plots.
Wrath takes place in Alundri, another world different from earth which is ruled by Greek Gods such as Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Athena, and a few others. This world is fairly new and not yet totally discovered, which leaves room for much mystery; this world is inhabited by mythological creatures like sirens, mermaids, hellhounds, and more. The world is also fairly ‘exclusive’. It is a vast land in which many cities and villages can be found, but are also very different from each other. In some places you might find villages that resemble third world villages. In other places you might find modern cities like ours on earth today, and in other places, you might find cities based only on technology and much more high-tech than what we have ever seen before. Now, out in the wild is a different story. There have been myths and legends buzzing around for centuries, rumors of waterfalls with no bottom, holes in the ground that Hades himself was rumored to have crawled out from, hidden treasure, and weapons that have the power to slay a God. This world is a mystery, and our characters will uncover it.
Long ago when Alundri was formed, Gods agreed to live in peace and harmony with their creations, the humans, as long as the humans worshipped the Gods. This was easily accepted – for a while. As towns evolved into cities and cities began building up and reaching new heights in technology, science, and health, it sparked something. It sparked the thought of freedom, the thought of another way of life instead of worshipping someone they could not see. The thought of rebellion. It spread like wildfire; many minds soon picked up on the idea that rebellion was a good idea, and so they denied the Gods their love and began searching for their own freedom. This was not taken lightly. As resistance groups against the Gods sprung up, the Gods began to strike back; their creations were defying their law and betraying them, and they would not stand for it. They lashed out at cities villages, anything that held note of a resistance against them. They wanted the betrayal wiped out, and total decimation was soon becoming the fate of Alundri, no matter if you worshipped the Gods or not.
However, not every God wanted to exterminate their creations. Some minor Gods even believed that it was time for the humans to take control of their own lives and lead them without their guiding hand. With this in mind, these minor Gods conjured up an idea. They chose. They chose people, humans… They chose your character to belong the resistance group, the threat to the power of the Gods. With the group chosen, these minor Gods split their grace in two and, with a desperate hope that these chosen ones would be enough to save the human race, enchanted a chosen deck of cards. Tarot cards, to be exact. And these cards chose the group; they chose based on personality and heightened their senses, emotions and reflexes based on what they needed to survive. Without these cards, they die. But with… They might actually stand a chance.
Their mission is simple; your character will join the resistance group with their card and set off to hunt down these weapons hidden deep in Alundri. The weapons that could slay a God. Okay, maybe it’s not so simple when you’re running from hydras, hellhounds, and the occasional insane God that wants nothing but the group completely dead. It’s destruction. It’s chaos. It’s Wrath.
