Current Favorite Food: Tuna steaks were on sale, obsessed with making Poke bowls at home right now.

Current Favorite Craft: I was just on vacation so I did a lot of sewing. I made a green satin dress, and some skirts, and a clutch from brocade. My craft on the go is I'm making a basic chainmaille choker.

Current Favorite Hobby: Same as above. I guess I Zumba but is that a hobby? It's for my mental and physical health.

Current Favorite Drink: Cold weather is genmaicha season. Also honey and lemon in hot water but technically I drink that year round.

I love and endorse this energy. I work in a male dominated field with plenty of badass women who absolutely live like Elle Woods. Everyone should be more appropriately confident, lift others up, and wear whatever the hell you want.

Random thoughts

I usually dread going back to work from vacation but it's different and nice coming back to an easy rotation like research. These 2 weeks consist of collecting data and doing presentations so there is a lot of flexibility. I just did grand rounds on Fontan circulation which went pretty well despite me going over time. Fontan circuits are so cool and complicated! Am obsessed with my job. So lucky that I get to take care of people and nerd out with my colleagues. So grateful that the department will hire me once I'm done all my training.

Currently reading: I started Ringworld a long time ago but now it sits dust-covered on my nightstand. My day (24/7) job as a cardio fellow means I mostly read to study. I'm working through the new ESC guidelines on pregnancy and heart disease.

Last Song: Lovumba by Daddy Yankee. Was just at Zumba class.

Last Series: Still on season 2 of Narcos. Also watching Vision of Escaflowne for the first time.

Last Movie: Vengence

Sweet/savory/spicy: All! Depends on my mood.

Tea or coffee: Both! I get 1 cup of coffee in the morning and then tea the rest of the day if I'm drinking something warm.

Currently working on: For work, 2 case reports and a small cohort of Fontan patients for whom I am doing some ECHO measurements. I am massively behind on all of that. I have some brocade fabric I wanted to make into a pouch so since I'm on vacation, I'll probably work on that first.
