Twenty-two years ago today, Lin “Spit” Newborn and Dan Shersty - both Las Vegas Unity Skins and founders of Las Vegas’ Anti-Racist Action chapter - were lured out to the desert in a planned ambush and murdered by six neo-nazis.  Only three of the six neo-nazis who conspired to murder Dan and Spit were ever convicted. I made it from Arizona to Los Angeles ! Through the majestic Joshua Tree :D One of few wilderness left for us to roam freely. It can be difficult finding a place to exist without money. It’s a great feeling to look towards the horizon and see nothing but wilderness. It’s a wonderful place to get out of the car at the many exhibits. Don’t forget to look at the ground! You will find some crazy stuff there! You can see me posing with a Joshua Tree and Cholla (choy-ya) cactus! We went to Keys Point for the sunset and boy was it magnificent. There is free camping here when you enter from I-10. However, if you venture through the park and come out where Joshua Tree the city is, you will get charged 30$! Joshua Tree has a lovely health foods store with The Natural Sisters Cafe next door. There’s a small bulk section and an extensive herbal medicine collection.
