The Great Conjunction

This is one of the KEY astrological phenomenons every astrologer talks about, occurring every 20 years and often mark times of great geo-political and societal change. It is when the two giants of the solar system, Jupiter and Saturn, align together in the sky. 

Why is everyone raving or freaking out about this conjunction? Well it’s the beginning of a new cycle. The conjunctions cycle through the elements - fire, earth, air, water - which take around 200 years each. 

The last 200 years has been the earth element, all about material wealth, the earth, structures, rules, and establishments. The Great Conjunction on December 21st will occur at 0° Aquarius, the first of a 200-year air element cycle. 

This is truly marking the transition out of the Piscean Age into the Age of Aquarius. Being in an air sign, and being the future-oriented sign of Aqua, the themes of this next era will be defined by rapid technological expansion (well even more so than what’s been happening), collaboration, decentralising power and returning it to the individual, reinvention, radical change, and a focus on the ethereal over the earthly material. 

The last time The Great Conjunction was in Aquarius was in 1405 during the Renaissance era - perhaps we are entering the Renaissance 2.0, where we will experience another cultural, artistic, political, and economic “rebirth”. 

And on top of this MAJOR cyclic ending/beginning, it’s the Winter or Summer Solstice! Plus the moon is in Aries today, the first of the zodiac. Nothing seems to be a coincidence as we enter into the portal of 2021…
