Good morning! A bit about my hair: I had a certain updo in mind, but couldn't figure out how to secure it with pins, tiny rubber bands or hair ties. I kept coming up with a variation of this. So then I thought, screw it! This is what it is. And now, this to-the-side-in-an-interesting-way do has grown on me. I almost wore my dark blue lipstick to work, but I don't know if I'm ready for that yet, though I can see it. I'll just be looking like an #art piece and just #beingmyself. For now #darkbrownlipstick will do. My #motd is a bare, well-moisturized face with #Sheabutter and #coconutoil, a hint of blush (whatever was left on my brush from yesterday) and this #rkbykiss #lipstick. My #intention for today is to be light. #iam light. My light is shining. I attract light. Today was one of those days that made me think of the expression or idea of being #prayedup. This morning was day two of meditating in my newly-manifested #meditation area upon waking and let's just say, I was tested. One thing that came to mind when I finally started pulling out some #chillout strategies was to bring to mind my intention for today that I just put on my affirmation wall this morning. I am the light of Presence, the #awareness that is prior to and deeper than any emotions or thoughts. #iam That and I took a moment to #sbt with a 3 minute meditation. It does work, but mindfulness truly is a practice! 💜💙 #outfit #whattheteacherwore #loveheals
You know when everything else is going well on your plan of acceptance for back to work after a lovely week off, except for the MTA system? Yup, I meditated in my new #meditation corner, ate a good breakfast, walked the dogs and have a pulled together look, but truly nothing is in control. So as I felt stress creeping into that all too familiar spot on my back while waiting for a very late train-- notably when the woman standing near me, probably a #teacher, let out a stressed-out huge sigh-- I decided to breathe it out and reflect instead. My #intention for today is once again to handle all experiences with ease, with joy and with love. As I finish this up on the super crowded train, I'm practicing ease by allowing the background noise of the subway preacher spewing judgments to just be.
