The clock on the wall
We used to live a very happy life in a beautiful little town.
Our house wasn't big. It only had a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom, but for us, it was more than enough.
The most valuable thing we owned was an old wall clock. She had bought it on the very day we met, and from then on, it marked every moment of our journey.
After ten years together, she decided it was time to pursue her dreams and become a nurse. The day I watched her walk down the road that led to the bus station, I promised her I would wait for her.
When I returned home, I noticed the clock had stopped working.
Thirty years passed.
One afternoon, someone knocked on the door.
It was her.
I hugged her with all the strength that had kept me going during her absence, and from that day on, we were never apart again.
The clock started ticking again the day she returned.
AD.
