Can we say "Cover Up!" for a bungled-up #Mejia #NAIA extortion attempt? This reeks of corruption to the highest level. Am amazed that this story's been buried.
Read more about the "death by suicide" of a USN Lt. Commander who happened to fall head first jumping from a mere 10-feet?!
How terribly sad. Another tragic example on how Risk Mitigation efforts need to be maintained. Check out the whole series on the recent Shanghai Fire (Photo Credit:Reuters,AlySong)

Philippine Inquirer came out with another story today - the 1 year anniversary of the Maguindanao Massacre - that reports of a US-funded study finding that persistent assassination of journalists continue to plague the country. President Aquino also needs to address the alarming issue of the slayings of political activist: 1 per week since he's been in office.
Without a protected press, liberties for all are threatened.
For President Aquino to counter the #travel warnings issued by other countries to its own citizens, then he needs to give these governments less access to the media that covers the weekly stories of #bombings and #terrorist plots being developed/ executed.
Smells Like Phish! Don't hackers have anything better to do with their lives than send out these phishing scams. Listen, losers, just 'cuz you had no chance in getting to MIT or CalTech, figure out how to do something productive in this world. Idiots, try again next time.
Will Private Public Partnerships effectively improve the lives of the masses that desperately needs a modern-day infrastructure to support their 21st century aspirations? Besides simply fueling the conglomerates' major hold on the local economy, will the 'multi-laterals' be able to deliver what the local government obviously cannot?
The first human case of bird flu in seven years has been diagnosed in Hong Kong, health officials said Thursday, urging the public to take precautions.
A 59-year-old woman was hospitalized in serious condition after a trip to mainland China, the Hong Kong Department of Health said.
Her illness was diagnosed as influenza A (H5), a variant of bird flu. It was unclear where she had contracted the disease. She did not have any contact with live poultry and did not visit farms while in China, Hong Kong health officials said
Madison Avenue agencies are hemorrhaging because the American Dream is still in a coma. Don't get me wrong, even folks who burn the flag overseas will still grab a 1-way ticket Stateside if given the opportunity to escape a harsh, difficult environment. But agencies will not be able to heal the wounds, bridge the gap, and heal the rift with consumers just by hiring techies who can write code or having Boomer Digital Immigrants attend these "feel-good" symposiums.
Its a global audience, indeed. So go figure out how to sell the pitch to Rwandans selling in the street-markets or to Filipino massage-therapists killing time inside an Internet cafe. And yes, they could hardly give a damn what Google has to offer nor what Amazon is. Once the firms that actually created the American Dream figure things out that the Old Days simply will never return - because the media gates have now opened, only then will the Dream become alive again... for those in the US as well.
