A Tentative Return: Changes and Future Plans for Writing-YJ Author's Note
So I primarily want to write smut at this point (I've had insane character development, don't ask too many questions, I have my reasons), but I could never abandon my angsty roots! I might write or take requests for fluff every now and then, but I honestly don't have much interest in reading or writing it anymore. Call me jaded or cynical, but it doesn't seem realistic anymore? I used to use at least some experience for fluff, but receiving the bare minimum in a relationship is hard to come across in this day and age, so it feels way sappier to write it than I would like. No shame to fluff enjoyers, though! I'm glad you still can, haha! I'm going to re-watch a lot of the show, and I still haven't watched season 4!
HOWEVER, since I am now 24 years old, I am no longer writing for any underage characters from any season of Young Justice. I will not be removing any of my previous work, since I was still underage (like, 16-17) when I wrote a majority of it, but like I said, I'm 24 now. I have no desire to write fanfiction about being romantic or having sexual relations with any underage character. I certainly hope that's understandable and a view y'all share. Any requests for such things will be deleted and not responded to.
Another big change coming to my blog is I am now wanting to write for some of the female characters as well. Surprise surprise: turns out I'm a raging bisexual, but still with more of a preference for men. Still trying to find my comfort zone with that, since I have not had a romantic relationship with a woman so far (the girl I tried casually dating ended up being a crackhead who would do crack in the bathroom while at work at the nursing home?!?! Obviously not ruling out dating women in the future, but that was a hell of a first experience), but since I have had sexual relationships with women, I will likely end up writing smut for female characters with a female reader!
Still not comfortable writing male reader inserts for the same reasons I stated years ago; I'm not a man, I don't enjoy reading or writing from a man's perspective, etc.. I wouldn't be able to write it well.
Circling back to how I will likely be writing a lot of smut, a lot of the themes, kinks, etc. will be more extreme/explicit than what I have previously written. Really not into the whole vanilla/virgin/making love thing, it's everywhere. I have changed as a person considerably, so my writing, interests, and communication style have obviously changed with me. Please keep this in mind :)
My masterlist blog will also be undergoing changes and updates. Basically lots of changes regarding tagging, organization, rules, guidelines, and so on will be made in the following months in accordance to changes being made here!
THIS IS ALL TENTATIVE, I CAN'T MAKE PROMISES, THESE ARE MY ASPIRATIONS/GOALS. I WANT TO WRITE AGAIN.

Iām not doing the greatest tbh, but I will get through the stuff Iām going through right now. I got this. I wish I could be more present on here, but I really think I just need to finish college and stop being so stressed out.
Eventually. Itās been on hold for a hot minute. Iām Adultingā¢ļø now, so writing isnāt as prioritized as it used to be for me. I started college classes again yesterday. I looked at what I have on my plate and immediately signed up for personal counseling, if that tells you how things are going lately.

I wish I could give you an in-depth synopsis of whatās all going on but man it has been even more of a rollercoaster than I expected. I work 6 days almost every week, finals are coming up, my relationship is still great, but Iāve had a lot of things happen with friends and family in the last few months. This man knows what heās doing when it comes to date nights. Surely we are all aware that Dick is experienced with such matters, and one of the smoothest men you could come across.
You are his woman, his other half! Dick is gonna spoil you rotten and make sure youāre happy to the best of his ability.
-At first, it took a while to split his time between you, his job, and his hero life in a way that made you both happy. Up until that happened, the lack of balanced time management caused a small handful of fights.
A date night with Nightwing always depends on what the occasion/reason is, itās purely circumstantialĀ
Like, if he has the time, heāll set up a super romantic dinner in yāallās apartment or a romantic location elsewhere
-Such locations include fancy restaurants that Bruce recommends (usually takes a couple attempts for him to provide options that are within your budget), a picnic, a drive-in movie theatre, and so on.
-A romantic dinner at home consists of lit candles on the dinner table, beautiful fresh flowers in a vase, sometimes a tasteful amount of rose petals scattered on the bed table, all topped off with your favorite meal and dessert.
-But Dick avoids cooking the food himself. By no means is he an absolutely terrible cook, but what is terrible is his luck at successfully cooking your favorite dishes. The reason is beyond him. Itās always a toss up. Will he make it beyond perfectly? Will he almost burn down the building? Dick never knows until heās done, so he decided to have Alfred visit and help him when possible.
-Dick thinks heās being sneaky and that you donāt know Alfred takes over the cooking almost completely helps out, but you found out soon after it started,,, not that youād tell him, of course; itās cute when he thinks he has proficiency in stealth.
If he has less time to organize a date, heāll take you up onto a rooftop as Nightwing to eat food or stargaze there, or sit with you in your car in a fast food restaurant parking lot at the very late hours of the night, munching on fast food, radio on, and holding hands.
-Itās pretty common for you two to playfully bicker over what genre of music to put on the radio
-There was one time when a thug knocked on your window with a gun in his hand and attempted to steal your car. Obviously, that attempt did not end well for him. No one fives with dates Dick goes on with you, and he lives by that.
-Moving to the backseat is often on the agenda ;)
There are times when you surprise Dick with a date instead of him organizing one, and of course you cover the bill for the date just as often as he does, but he prefers to be the one taking you out on a date night.
-This is likely because of the stigma/societyās standards of date etiquette and who pays/organizes what, but it also circles back to how he likes spoiling you.
The most common date you set up for him is when he has a bad day at work or a bad mission. Itāll be a nice, cozy movie night at home on the couch or in a pillow/couch cushion fort, expertly built by you with your own hands and two brain cells.
-That kind of date is Dickās favorite. He doesnāt expect you to take him out on extravagant dates like he does his best to do, and the fact that you do it to comfort him and help him after an awful day means the world to him. Especially when you make a pillow fort for him.
-But it took some YouTube tutorials and WikiHow articles for your first few attempts.
Overall, you can expect for any date night with Dick Grayson to be the ideal date night.
