I’m Gonna Like the Way You Fight is a TF2 Spy/Engie fanfiction, between a Red Spy and a Blue Engineer; a multichapter slowburn. Description: an engineer gets transferred to the Blu team stationed over in Badwater Basin.

Time was slowly starting to inch closer to that hour of late evening Engineer had agreed to meet up with Spy again. The break-in at the supposed “shack” would require them both, after all. Still, there would be more than a few hours of surveillance outside of their target location ahead to look forward to. That was what Engineer surmised, as he hefted an insulated storage container to his base’s kitchen in much the same way he would one of his toolboxes. He set it down on one of the counters, before opening it carefully in preparation as he turned back now to the freezer behind. He’d be missing dinner for sure out there if he didn’t bring food with him otherwise – or well. They would.

Sometimes I think about the fact that Paladins did a promotional crossover with TF2 where their character Barik got an Engineer themed skin; here’s the thing though. All skins of a certain quality tier come packaged with custom voice packs, and the promotional Engineer skin was voiced by none other then Grant Goodeve himself, the original voice actor of Engineer. I’m not sure where I’m going with this anyway here’s a voiceline where the Engineer calls you a pretty boy for all your pretty boy needs.

Hello! I only started reading your fic yesterday and today I'm already at Chapter 15 and it has become my favorite from the deathcam wall scene to the interactions he have with the little club. Each Spy just feel unique and different in their own way, plus love their appearance!

Ahh, thanks so much for the feedback! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed that chapter, it's always fun coming up with the characters for bits like that. As to the fic in general, I know it's taking me forever to get the latest chapter pushed out, aha...hopefully though, I'll have more updates on that front soon. I do want to have everything out by next month, but we'll see. Regardless thanks again for the message, I love getting comments from readers and hearing what they think

Update: The Meet the Team page is now complete and is currently in my ao3 drafts! It won't be posted until the next chapter is finished being written, but I'll keep you all up to date on that. I can't wait to show you guys!

My basic plan right now is to have the next chapter and "meet the teams" page release at the same time. Given this, the likelihood of an accompanying picture with the next chapter itself is low, but we will see how much energy I have when all is said and done.

Progress update: Medic is the last of the blus I'm rendering, and I need to tweak demo a bit, but the blus are basically done, and I'll be moving onto the REDS soon.

You have the same icon as DNAD's! Are you two related/joint up or something? Thats just what the same icon thing makes me think

No, sorry! You're actually not the first person to ask this, so I've temporarily changed my icon - I'll sketch myself a new one at some point but for now I'm focusing on my fic updates planned
