“We’re not dating,” Bucky said as Sam walked in. You weren’t dating, no. It was casual. Hookups here and there…hookups that accidentally turned into sleepovers. Glances and touches that lingered too long. No labels. No promises.
You didn’t even look up from your coffee. “Just a reminder though. You literally moaned my name last night.”
Sam choked at that. Bucky turned bright red. “That’s not what—”
Sam backed away. “I didn’t hear anything! I swear!”, and he left. You laughed.
Bucky stammered, “That was—context matters!”
“Oh, do tell. What context makes ‘God, Y/N, just like that’ platonic?”
He opened his mouth. Closed it. “We were… testing gravity.”
“By rearranging my spine?”
You gasped. “So you admit it happened!”
“I’m leaving,” he muttered, already walking toward the door.
“Not before you kiss your not-girlfriend goodbye!”
He paused, turned, and kissed you breathless. Then mumbled, “Still not dating.”
You grinned. “Whatever helps you sleep at night, Barnes.”
You stirred, blinking blearily—and found Bucky already watching you, hair messy, shirtless, and grinning like he’d just gotten away with a crime.
You stretched lazily. “Still not dating, huh?”
He groaned and flopped on top of you, his hard-on pressed onto your naked core. “You’re never gonna let that go, are you?”
You laughed against his shoulder. “Nope.”
He kissed your collarbone. “Okay, fine. You win.”
He kissed you again—slower this time. “Yeah. We are.”, you can feel his smile against your lips.
